Job Description

This role will be responsible for the effective delivery of Anti-Fraud services for the General Insurance & Takaful industry at claims and underwriting stages, primarily focused on the Motor line of business

Spearhead analytics and technology driven fraud detection and investigation systems, eg Fraud Intelligence System (FIS);

Work with insurance & takaful industry and other stakeholders to improve the handling of suspicious claims and the continuous improvement of fraud detection systems;

Coordinate with the industry task forces to promote the effective use of all fraud related tools and systems This would include developing investigation strategies and procedures to be shared with end users from the industry via training and other engagement avenues;

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to manage the collection and validation of all fraud related metrics for timely reporting to the industry and regulator;

Manage an effective communication strategy; one that communicates with all relevant aspects of the insurance & takaful industry in an appropriate, consistent and informative manner;

Perform analysis of fraud patterns and data to understand various fraudster modus operandi and subsequently develop and improve system driven detection methodologies;

Manage team to develop robust analysis of claims and fraud data, leading to development of new fraud indicators and fine tuning of underlying rules and models in fraud detection systems;

Coordinate and manage enhancements with software providers to carry effective Change Management, including development of requirements, managing change request deployments, testing and end user training;

Ensure compliance with all country laws and regulations regarding investigations, reporting, competition and data privacy requirements


The skills and requirements of the candidate are

A graduate degree in any discipline;

At least 5 years’ experience in handling Motor claims in the insurance/takaful industry;

Management experience would be advantageous;

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment;

Good communication and inter-personal skills is a key requirement;

Must be detail-oriented with reliable work ethic
