We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager – Accounting and Payroll Operations to work with the Finance team in the KL office This role will report to the Finance Director/Finance Manager and be primarily in charge of the Accounting and Payroll process The role will be required to ensure accuracy of data input and timely processing and create and implement efficient processing


· Manage Payroll in 5 different countries and establish comprehensive processes and procedures to highlight inefficiencies

· Oversee AP and AR functions Maintain and continuously improve payables and receivables functions and reporting system Review applicable accounting reports and registers to ensure accuracy Generate relevant reports to ensure all invoices and bank transactions are accounted and posted to GL

· Assist Finance Manager in preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for the management team Ensure to accrue expense, reverse prepayments and review intercompany balances in all ledgers during month end closing in order to capture the most accurate cost of the month

· Ensure financial compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, tax, audit and regulatory requirements within the scope of financial management Assist Finance Manager to extract/ gather information required by auditor/ tax agents Check draft report prior to submission to Finance Manager for review

· Verify accurate and timely wage calculations, overtime, and termination pay

· Ensuring that all payroll processing is performed within strict timeframes, including new employee details, terminations, master file changes, timesheets, leave, award increases etc

· Ensure timely submission of statutory reports and keep up-to-date with legislation

· Prepare reports on employee pay, commissions and bonuses, vacation, sick time, disability and workers compensation leave, and taxes/withholdings, etc

· Competent at using software relevant to the job

· Work under considerable pressure and work quickly

· Impeccable trustworthiness and complete dependability

· Provide excellent service and support to the Human Resources department and to the employees

· Ensure timely entry in accounting system for all transactions related to wages, bonuses, commissions, leave and statutory contributions Review all provisions and accrued balances related to payroll in monthly financials Assist in audit processes for all transactions related to payroll

·Possess a good eye for detail Because of the nature and significance of the job, even a small error can – if left unnoticed – rapidly have highly damaging consequences

· Collaborates with other finance staff and other departments on special projects and participates in projects performed by the Finance Department

· Perform other duties as assigned by management


· Degree qualified or completion of CPA or CA

· Advanced Microsoft Word & Excel Skills

· Fantastic attitude - must be a team player

· A “hands on” approach

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Experience with Oracle Cloud Financing

· Experience in the fintech, technology or financial services industries

· A keen learner wanting to grow their career
