POSITION ASSOCIATE ANALYST/ANALYST | PAYMENTS OVERSIGHT DEPARTMENT
Assist in the oversight activities over the payment and settlement systems in Malaysia, with the objective of ensuring the safety and reliability of payment systems and payment instruments, and to safeguard public interest
Develop, implement and review the development of regulatory and prudential framework for payment systems and payment instrumentsUndertake the surveillance on industry players, mainly to monitor and identify risks in payment systems/instruments, recommend and implement supervisory actions to address risks and/or non-compliances, and monitor the corrective actions by industry players to mitigate risksImplement the administration and enforcement of legislations and guidelines issued by the Bank, which include processing the applications to operate payment systems and/or issue designated payment instruments in a timely manner and in accordance with relevant laws, policies and guidelinesConduct research, monitor and analyse regulatory developments and trends in the region and globally with the view of ensuring the regulatory framework on the payment systems and instruments are effective to meet the needs of the countryCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders (eg regulatory/standard setting bodies and industry players) in conducting oversight activities to achieve a comprehensive and effective regulatory/prudential framework and supervisory activities

Keeping abreast with emerging risks of payment systems and instrumentsEnsuring proper analysis on implications of developments and vulnerabilities that would impact the safety and soundness of payment systemsKeeping abreast with advancements in information technology
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, Legal, Business Studies or its equivalent, with at least Second Class Upper or a CGPA of 300At least Credit in five subjects including Bahasa Melayu, English and Mathematics in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
Experience in the field of payment system developments and regulations would be an added advantage
