Job Description

The Associate Key Account Manager is fully responsible in all areas related to sales of Bayer Consumer Health products by focusing on development of key chain account and his / her assigned channels of coverage in Malaysia


Establish and plan Sales Tracking to ensure budget are met and work with SKAM to monitor A&P funds for the development of his/her key account and assigned channels Participates in BCH budget preparation process by providing inputs on market environment, competition, trade channel growth, sales volume & value by key account / assigned channels, trade advertising & promotion plan, key account / trade strategies and sales programs aligned with brand strategies and company growthMonitors and ensures strict adherence to the set budget of the year Recommends corrective actions whenever deviations occur Manages and deploys the allocated A&P funds for the assigned key account / channels to achieve the best possible returns in terms of sales and profitabilityBuild good rapport with key trade partners via frequent and close collaboration with the key account / channel partners Develop annual business plans and conduct quarterly business reviews with key trade partners to ensure long term sustainability of business partnership Achieves a high customer service standard to gain a competitive advantage over our competitors through implementing of CuEx strategy with the tracking of IPSOS Scores to be achieve on a monthly basisPlans and implements effective trade promotion programs with close collaboration with the brand / trade marketing team and trade partners Drives and negotiates strong visibility, availability and merchandising position for all BCH brands in his/her key account / assigned channels, ensuring BCH has 100% coverage of all key trade outlets in accordance to the CuEx and IPSOS KPICollaborate with Trade Marketing Manager and Assistant Trade Marketing Manager to manage and sharpen the skills of merchandisers with the aim to inspire and motivate the team to execute plans and visibility drives in his / her assigned channel Also, collaborate with the field force (3rd party where applicable) to ensure successful sales execution in his / her key account / assigned channels Engage in regular dialogue with the field force (merchandisers / 3rd party field force - where applicable) to get feedback to improve on-site performanceWork with the Marketing and Logistics team to ensure accurate forecast planning to ensure seamless execution of all in-store activities Monitor stock levels in the trade for proper stock requirement planning To achieve the forecast accuracy target as set by the companyConducts frequent field visits to check on POS activations and promotion executions at store level, establish relationships with customers to obtain their feedback, and monitor competitors’ activities and implement tactical counter measure campaigns as neededPrepare monthly and ad-hoc reports for Management review, with timely submission This will include key accounts and assigned channels performance, A&P spending for the month, contact reports with his/her key trade partners and market intelligenceEnsures Bayer Corporate Compliance & policies and procedures are enforced within Bayer standards Responsible for ensuring that all trade promotion programs strictly adheres to regulatory requirements and industry code of ethicsActively support the Country Division Head / Sales Manager, to take on special assignments and projects, when the need arises

Degree in Business Administration / Business Studies or related fieldMinimum 2 - 3 years key / chain accounts sales experience with proven track record in the OTC healthcare or FMCG industry, preferably with a multinational company Trade marketing experience will be an added advantageGood market knowledge and good understanding of Key Accounts / Chain accounts operationsStrong understanding of trade plans and activations in OTC healthcare Ability to manage and track budget spendsAble to demonstrate good teamwork and high team spiritsImmense sense of urgency to get things done; with results driven attitudeStrong customer focus and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently with good strategic and planning skillsPossess a valid driving license and own car Must be able to travel NationwideGood communication and presentation skills in English – written and oralAbove average computer skills – MS Excel / Power Point / Word / Outlook
