about role


were looking for resources with a solid technical IT background to support operational applications candidates need to have demonstrated experience in an operate / admin and application support role with strong troubleshooting / root cause analysis skills the application support to be hired will manage other application support resources (managed service) and will assist with more complex issues

requirements
at least 5 year experience in a related environmentdegree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience manage day-to-day operational activities/issues applying the ITIL best practicesextensive working experience in UNIX/Linux, RDBMS preferably in MongoDB/Oracle, Shell Scripting and Java working experience or knowledge on AWS/SPLUNK is essential experience in automation using Shell Scripting, Bootstrap, JSTL, JSP, SPRING 4, or HTML knowledge and understanding of incidents and problem managementcommunicate to the business and local IT on production problems to ensure timely resolution and
high business satisfactioncoordinate resolution in critical cross application system problems and keep affected entities and
business units informed in order to ensure production operations runs smoothlycustomers and end-users focused able to work on shift as and when requiredguide in preparation of technical design documents ensure that documentation is in place and
maintainedperform system health check whenever requiredresponding to automated alerts on the health of systemsperforming routine audits of systems for the purpose of preventative maintenance of applications
and reporting on their status

non-technical / soft skills
Proven experience in managing IT service operation based on ITIL practice and processes, (ITIL v3 certified certification is an added advantage)Proficiency in verbal and written English communication and presentation skillsHave a high level of organisational and prioritisation skillsStrong Problem solving and negotiation skillsStrong administrative proficiency and analytical skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams and multiple work groupsUnderstands the requirement to deliver to the Customer within agreed timeframes and meet customer expectationBe a Self-Starter and Self MotivatedBe able to Multi-taskStrong attention to detailAbility to manage and achieve multiple goals at any given timeHigh level of personal commitment and accountabilityEmbracing new technologies and innovation for the battlement of application supported
