About the Role
The Cloud Engineer will operate under the guidelines of pre-defined ITIL and ISO9001/20000 compliant processes and procedures and is expected to ensure effective and professional communication with all relevant parties

What you’ll do
1 Technical Expertise
It is important that all Cloud staff have a broad range of skills, however it is expected that individuals will specialise in one or multiple of the following options as listed below
a) Cloud based technologies
• Microsoft Azure (required)
• Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud Platform (advantageous)
b) Microsoft Windows servers and applications, including (but not limited to)
• MS Server Server 2003 and onwards
• Active Directory
• Group Policy
• Exchange
• SCCM
• DNS
• Terminal Services/Remote Session Host
• SQL Server
c) Virtualised environments, including (but not limited to)
• Microsoft Hyper-V
• VMware
d) SAN storage solutions, including (but not limited to)
• Netapp
• EMC
• IBM
• HP
e) Backup and virtual machine replication solutions, including (but not limited to)
• Netbackup
• Backup Exec
• Commvault
• Shadow Protect
• Veeam
f) Other infrastructure or applications, including (but not limited to)
• Citrix XenApp
• Cisco UCS
• UPS
• Blade Chassis Servers
2 Vendor Certifications and Study
• Study to keep skills relevant with the latest versions of currently supported technologies
• Willingness to learn emerging technologies as required to support client’s needs and reduce Single Points of Failure in the team
• Undertake vendor certifications (as required)
3 Documentation
• Create technical and process documentation for the team (as required)
• Periodically review documentation to ensure that it is current and update (as required)

4 Onboarding of new clients
• Attend onsite at customer location to meet relevant people
• Identify documentation and training requirements
• Create documentation when required
• Provide relevant information to the team
5 On-call and after-hours support
• Work on an on-call roster to provide afterhours support to meet client’s needs

What you’ll bring
• Hands-on experience with MS Server operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, MS Exchange, Citrix XenApp, Ticket logging application
• Hands-on experience with MS Server 2016, Office 365, Storage, SCCM, Cloud Services (Azure, AWS, GCP), VMware vSphere Suite, Backup and Replication Technologies
• Strong technical skills for supported technologies
• IT industry experience
• Troubleshooting skills
• Customer service focus with the ability to empathise as well as prioritise
• Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing, information of both a technical and non-technical nature
• Ability to develop and maintain productive internal and external relationships, partnerships and networks
• Able to present a positive image of Datacom and its support services in all cases
• Flexibility towards work and role
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• ITIL methodologies
• MS server systems and applications
• Working knowledge of Corporate Service Desk environment
• Microsoft Certification MCP
• Vendor Certification or relevant industry experience for primary support role
• Minimum two years industry experience
• ITIL foundations certificate or relevant experience
• Microsoft Certification MCTS, MCITP, MCSA, MCSE
• VMware - VCP
• Citrix - CCEE
• TAFE Cert IV/ Diploma/Advanced Diploma Networking
• University degree in Information Systems
