Job Description

JOB PURPOSE/OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of the sourcing strategy for Coconut and Fats & Oils categories This position also provides the overall management of the supplier base to ensure excellent execution of the global coconut category It ensures that the day-to-day running of the coconut operational activities (logistics, planning, activity management, reporting, and order placing) are fulfilled on time and to support the internal customers’ requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

50% Sourcing – Category Fats & Oils – Scope AMEA



Develop and execute sourcing strategy using appropriate frameworks and tools

Drive sustainability initiatives for the category

Lead and monitor key supplier performance indicators across cost, service and quality Develop corrective activations where required, as well as drive ongoing supply base development and optimization

Lead critical supply and supplier quality issues Develop and execute short term mitigation as well as long term continuous improvement/correction plan through cross-functional cooperation

Ensure commercial governance in line with commercial manual, specifically in areas of strategy, supply selection, business allocation and contract approvals and reviews

Establish and maintain relationship with key stakeholders (internal and external) Proactively drive cross-functional collaborations to gain support for the long term category strategy development and execution

Decide and formalize supply and service contracts, and ensure robust contractual terms and conditions in place



50% Buying Operations – Category Desiccated Coconut – Scope global



Deliver the day-to-day running of the coconut operational activities such as demand forecast review, supply planning, order placement, logistics, inventory management (forecast vs actual), production utilization, and reporting

Ensure supply continuity and supply chain security Ensure order deliveries to Mars’ business units are on time and in full

Consolidate the requirement from different business units, provide volume forecast and propose buying plan to sourcing manager

Monitor shipments and identify potential issues Coordinate and resolve delays of shipments between supplier, unit and freight forwarder

Create contract and purchase order in SAP

Lead activity management for various projects including cost saving, supply chain optimization, new product launch, specification change and etc

Determine and manage internal clients’ needs Act as a conduit for the day-to-day communications between the sourcing team and suppliers

Lead the development and execution of supplier performance management program (supplier performance scorecards, performance review, and performance development plan) and provide commercial leadership for the proactive measurement of supplier performance

Ensure compliance to contractual allocation as per the Business Allocation Plan

Represent business unit requirements in sourcing strategy creation

Implement sourcing strategy and deliver value leadership pipeline

Work with SQA, R&D and Supply to ensure process and material compliance to specification



JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS

1 Education



Bachelor degree in any field



2 Knowledge/Experience



Not less than 3 years working experience in planning, supply chain management, sourcing or other related positions

Preferably experienced working in an international FMCG environment

Experience in S&OP process, crisis management, change management, and negotiation

Advanced proficiency in English including reading, writing and oral Tagalog and Bahasa Indonesia would be an added advantage

Experienced in leading global projects
