The incumbent is expected to pro actively promote cost management, support factory performance drivers, decision support to product costing by business unit and also expected to comply with relevant requirements and best practices in performing day to day work (eg CSI, NAS & Costing Standards).
The incumbent is expected to work closely with shop floor and provide necessary action plans and guidance towards cost improvements
Your responsibilities would be to:
Perform Costing and Promote Cost Management
Manage and responsible for timely preparation of ACE, transfer pricing, actual cost
Manage periodical reporting for variance for plants and business units and take necessary decision on certain action plans together with factory team.
Manage and responsible for product costing and to attend/ liaise enquiries from Business Units and CDS.
Understanding of cost structures/ drivers and translate into a meaningful action plans to drive cost improvements
Liaison with internal/ external customers and take necessary decision/ ownership relating to financial information
Create visibility, coherent and common cost transparency/best practices
Do provisional costing for new products when necessary.
Support business performance
Monitoring of factory and business cost drivers through KPIs, trends and benchmarking
Ensure timely preparation of PEC
Analyse variance reports and ensure periodical reviews and support factory management on decisions of corrective actions, monthly and
weekly based on variance reports by plant.
Work closely with Business Unit for Gaps Analysis and provide value adding commentary on performance variances and to help to drive the most appropriate corrective actions
Involvement with factory initiatives via DOR cost improvement
Response to queries from internal/ external customers
Compliance with relevant control environment
Execute accounting controls in accordance with the materiality of transactions
Comply with Nestle Accounting Standards, Nestle Costing Standards for Manufacturing and Company Standing Instructions
Follow up of previous audit issues
Financial & Costing Data Integrity
Apply clear definition of responsibilities around data integrity and accuracy at source including check and analyse GL reporting impact
Ensure proper maintenance of Data Based Management in SAP Costing system
Participate in warehouse stock count
Super User for Globe - Costing Stream
Provide training for factory team with regards to cost management
Ensure SAP costing processes and best practices are in place
Completion of workflow in time
Check and reports to external parties and government agencies
Management of petty cash
Administration support and housekeeping
Prepare Tax analysis
Involvement with factory Safety activities : HIRADC & EAEI & BO etc.
Coordinator for IS and system issue
You must have the following:
Possess a Degree/Masters degree or professional qualification in Accounting / Finance Member of ACCA or CIMA
Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in a Costing calculation, analysis and control managerial capacity, preferably in manufacturing costing experience, ideally within a factory or supply chain environment
Other attributes that we are looking for:
Experienced working in audit firm will be an added advantage
Understanding and application of NAS, Costing Standards for Manufacturing (CSM) and other reporting guidelines
Solid knowledge of business principles and best practices to ensure sustainability of business and drive continuous performance improvement
Thorough knowledge of financial concepts and principles
Proficiency in SAP
Strong proficiency in Excel
Able to multitask
Nestle Accounting Standards, Costing Standards and CSI
Good inter-personal skills
Analytical and communication skills
Leadership and people management
Computer Skills (MS Office - Excel, Power Point)
