Role Purpose The ideal candidate for this mid-level management position should have good leadership and strong resolve in driving continuous success in delivering one of the highest production rate aircraft structure subassemblies. He/She would have had demonstrated successes within the manufacturing industry preferably in Aerospace, in delivering products on Quality, Cost and Time. His/Her strength includes effective people management and development for performance excellence, an eye for detail but appreciates the big picture, have good business acumen with good business communication skills and good experience in regulatory/certification requirements such as AS9100, ISO14001, Nadcap and OSHAS 18000. He/she is also expected to bring across strong process oriented best practices and enthusiasm in seeding the culture of continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing philosophy.Key Responsibilities includes but not limited to:Reporting to the Operations Manager who manages an Integrated Business Team and has overall responsibly of a High Production Rate Aircraft Structure Assembly Program in meeting Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Team key performance measures. The Integrated Business Team consists of personnel with functional responsibilities in Engineering, Production, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, etc.Support the Operations Manager in the daily management of the Integrated Business Team and the effective utilization of resource to ensure customer, business and statutory requirements are met.Support the Operations Manager in developing or overseeing Operations Budget, Resource Planning, Inventory Management and Production Performance reports.Involved in operations performance and financial reviews within the business and with external and internal customers.Where necessary provide leadership within the Integrated Business Team in support of other departmental functional responsibilities and activities in successful execution of business plans and initiatives.Involved in developing and maturing robust operational and manufacturing processes to fulfil internal and external requirements meeting A9100, ISO14001, Nadcap and OSHAS 1800 standards, continuous identification of “Waste” for elimination and people management and development towards performance excellence in a manufacturing/production environment.Ensuring safety at work place and comply to all Safety regulations at all timeAble to lead a group of Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Quality Inspectors, Planning Dept., and Paint Shop personnel to achieve company’s goal and objectives.Product and Technical Change Board ManagementContinuously review assembly process and raised theDrive the Kaizen activities for production and operation team in support to the Lean Organization.Skills & ExperienceCandidate must possess at least Bachelor s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Aviation/Aeronautics/Astronautics), Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding), Engineering (Others) or equivalent.At least 8Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.Required Skill(s): Microsoft Office, engineering, production planning, supplychain, quality inspectionPreferably Manager specialized in Aviation/Aircraft Maintenance, Manufacturing or equivalent.
