The Digital & PR Associate will be leading the digital marketing program at the local market while receiving support and guidance from Benefit’s Global Digital Marketing team based in San Francisco. This is a great opportunity to showcase your creative, research, and analytical capabilities by providing insights in the digital space, and extending those insights into powerful campaign strategies.

This candidate is also involve in driving PR results by creating & executing PR projects and initiatives.This candidate must maximize strong relationships, contribute big ideas and secure incremental exposure to support & drive all Public Relations efforts. This position requires outstanding communication & written skills with excellent organizational and follow-up skills. The candidate must be a self–managed, results driven, multi-tasker with an eye for detail. The candidate should embrace the Public Relations Department attitude and spirit.

Position Overview

Digital & PR Associate will be assisting with the development and implement of Benefit Cosmetics Malaysia’s digital marketing strategy, ensuring we grow our existing social community, expand our digital reach, increase the market’s digital IQ, better engage our followers, and constantly iterate based on insights and analytics.

They will liaise with colleagues across multiple departments, from sales to marketing to learn how to best connect with the our customers through various touch points, aid with customer service queries, and contribute to ideas for improving our brand’s voice and online presence.

They work closely with the Global Digital Marketing team to continuously improve the thinking, direction of the strategy and recommended programs and tactics.

Digital & PR Associate are passionate about digital and social media marketing and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment. They will support the team with a wide variety of tasks, including content creation, social engagement, campaign planning and analysis.

Digital & PR Associate report to the Marketing Manager. She/He may supervise interns.

Responsibilities:

Digital
Support/develop social media content strategy to increase social reach and engagementCreate, execute and maintain social content calendars across multiple platformsGrow brand visibility on our e-retailers’ website including shaping star product launch plans with retailer’s digital team, establish the annual action plan, monitor brand presence and visibility on site and social media, increase brand reach on retailers’s digital channelsDevelop the emailing database through digital activities, partnerships, in store collection, and build an email communication strategy and constantly communicate with them through EDM blastManage and execute planning, creative and budgets for paid social media campaignsCollaborate with Global,SEA and APAC Digital Marketing team to create digital contentManage, maintain, and analyze result of online service booking platform both on brand’s site & retailers’ siteEnsure the development of a strong relationship with top vloggers/bloggers/digital journalists resulting in increased quality placements & exposureOngoing collaboration with like-mind brands, media and other partner to develop digital campaignsDrive special PR sends & press releases including all special projects: editor gifts, invitations, postcards, holiday gift, etc.Researching beauty trends, competitor behavior and emerging media in order to innovate

Ensure the development of a strong relationship with top vloggers/bloggers/digital journalists resulting in increased quality placements & exposureOngoing collaboration with like-mind brands, media and other partner to develop digital campaignsDrive special PR sends & press releases including all special projects: editor gifts, invitations, postcards, holiday gift, etc.Researching beauty trends, competitor behavior and emerging media in order to innovateDrive PR outreach for all “A”introduction events & consumer marketing programCollaboration with Marketing Manager on non-traditional guerilla programs that grab new customers.Collaborate with Retailer Digital/PR Managers to create initiatives that increase brand exposure , drive traffics & increase sales.
Requirements
2+ years building cross-platform digital marketing programs and public relations; beauty industry experience is preferredExcellent written, verbal communication & presentation skillsStrategic, creative thinker with the ability to turn idea into holistic content programsHave the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely mannerHave a flexible and professional attitudeStrong attention to detail, organized and good management skillsMust be a self-starterAbility to work well with different stakeholders across organizationManage multiple projects and deadlinesProficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with MailChimp and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrators a plus.Experience leading and executing social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
