To implement strategies, policies & initiative in order to continuously improve the Malaysia LPG business through new customer development, distributor network enhancement, channel transformation, distributor development programme, point of sales (POS) management, competitive positioning, marketing programmes & distributors training.
To lead and supervise the LPG distributors in designated area to ensure plans and strategies are implemented effectively and efficiently in order to achieve and meet LPG’s mission and objective. In addition, to also ensure the business practice complies with Business HSSE requirements.
Manage sales and supervise a network of distributors, MiraMan members, Point of Sales (POS) covering the domestic business to meet/exceed all sales, budget, and HSSE related targets.
Plan and implement effective distributors’ development and incentive programs under the highly competitive market with the aim of achieving targeted growth in domestic LPG volume and profitability, and to secure long term distributors network robustness and loyalty.
Monitor market development on LPG related and competitor activities to develop marketing strategies and tactics to improve our competitive edge.
Identify and evaluate new LPG business opportunities and follow through with developments and successful implementations.
Manage LPG brand image and direction to facilities development of customer’s value proposition by end user segments.
To implement & monitor distributors/channel development with the objective of increasing the robustness of the overall distributors networking & achieving volume, market share & financial targets as well enabling business to increase its competitive edge and sustainability.
To analyst and establish the profitable business segments and potential geographical areas to determine the preferred market segments and channel of trade and to co-ordinate action plans with respective distributors to focus on these target segments and areas.
To keep abreast with LPG developments, identify and appraise new LPG business opportunities and where appropriate, gather relevant data and identify/ evaluate realistic options for these business case
To coach and assess distributor competence and performance through planned accompaniments doing observation, demonstration and joint calls and provide appropriate support.
To gather, analyst and interpret qualitative and quantitative competitor information related to the LPG business for purpose of carrying out competitive positioning leading to the formulation of overall strategies and plans for OG.
To maintain a close liaison with statutory authorities (MDTCA, DOSH, Fire Dept)
To regularly monitor, update and submitting necessary management tools/reports, e.g. customer cards, contact plan management, monthly report.
To monitor and manage overall performance - Volume, Pricing, Margin, HSSE, and Credit and project management, ensuring contribution to targets.
To monitor budget as per allocation and always strive to operate in a cost effective manner.
Practice and promote Company HSSE policies, standards at all times and instill the level of safety awareness amongst distributors, customers and staff
Exploit effectively the use of the IT improve distributors business operations.
Work closely with Operations Team to identify and improve logistics efficiency.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:
Recognized tertiary qualification and at least 3 years relevant sales/ commercial/marketing experience. Good understanding of LPG business preferred.
Microsoft Suite Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point) at intermediate level.
Excellent customer relationship building and management skill.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally & externally essential. Good command of spoken English & Bahasa Malaysia.
Ability to write/speak in other languages is a plus.
Good ability to understand and deliver financial results.
Good organization skills, multi project management knowledge.
