Job Description

Position Purpose & Summary

This position is responsible for complex Environment, Health and Safety administrative support. Provides varied technical support duties through the following areas of focus: implementation of EHS strategy, maintenance and continuous improvement of EHS results, shaping of the internal EHS culture and management of the external EHS brand.

Principal Accountabilities

Safety, Health and Environment (80%)
Work with EHS Manager & Plant Manager in matters concerning safety, health and environment forSabah location.This includes audit, testing, and training, liaising with relevant government EHS dept and assisting in implementing new regulation or policy.Ensuring proper safety and environmental measures are taken for project works.Actively participate and assist EHS committee team as Secretary for all activities been implemented.Tracking safety data through Enablon and sharing of safety report with employeesSafety briefing and training to employees and contractors.Lead the near miss and incident investigation (5 why, re-enactment, reporting etc)Inspect and determine the safety of work placeInvestigate any accident which has happened in the work place;Assist in organizing and implementing OSH programmed;Assist the committee in any inspection of the work place;To collect, analyze and maintain statistics on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and disease which have occurred at the work place ;Assist any officer in carrying out his duty under the Act.

People capability and Safety Awareness (20%)
Supporting Manufacturing Excellence program such as 5S and C1 program and focus will be on the EHS related projectsContinuous to run safety awareness program among CFN employees, contract labor, trucks drivers and contractors

Education, Experience, Skills

Required QualificationsUniversity degree/diploma, with 5-7 years of experience.Demonstrated proficiency in multiple business applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc;Ability to work with confidential informationAbility to work individually and as part of a team to support and back-up fellow Customer Service AdministratorsStrong problem identification and resolution skills.Strong customer service skills with ability to build and maintain lasting relationships.Exceptional verbal communication skills.Excellent listening skills.Strong written communication skills.Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.High level of integrity and work ethic.Ability to develop and implement new processes or recommend changesAbility to manage multiple priorities and a variable workload.Ability to work extended or flexible hours as seasonal workloads require

Preferred Qualifications
University degree/diploma from an accredited university/college in a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a business setting.Diploma or Degree in OSHSHO Course (Been certified by NIOSH or JKKP)Understanding of EHS practices and challenges.
