General Description

The candidate is to work as part of the Estate Team in the routine maintenance works for-



for overall electrical system, fire fighting system, water fountains and all electrical related system

To work with the team on building defects for all new buildings during the defect liability periods

To plan, manage and resolve requests and complaints from end-users on electrical system and maintenance matters



Job Responsibilities



As a member of the Estate Team, work on day to day routine maintenance and to carry out minor repair works on any electrical problems

To liaise with the contractors in making good defects for all new buildings

To work with the team to ensure requests & complaints from end-users are attended and resolved

To assist in the support of University events when necessary

Any other duties required by the Estate Office Management Team



Job Requirements



Electrical Certificate in an Electrical related subject

Familiar with standard Microsoft office suite of IT systems with good standards of numeracy and literacy

Minimum 2 years’ experience in the field of overall building maintenance or relevant role

Experience in writing reports and of Project Management

Detailed knowledge in particular works area

An understanding of current and pending building legislation

An understanding of current relevant Health and Safety legislation

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in a clear and concise manner

Good Presentation skills and English communication skills

Strong administrative skills and the ability to keep detailed and accurate records

Creative, diplomatic, work well under pressure, excellent interpersonal skills

Good project management skills and the ability to prioritise workload

May have to work in shift hours and out of normal hours

The ability to work independently within a team environment

Current and clean driving licence
