Scope of responsibilities -
To ensure the MEASAT’s fleet operational tasks are performed successfully in accordance with operation documentations, manufacturer advices and plans discussed in the Daily Activity Plan
To work closely with the team of Satellite Engineering and Satellite Controllers (SC) to accomplish the satellite operation tasks
To assist Assistant Principal/Principal Engineer whenever performing contingency or recovery operations
To perform satellite data analysis & status monitoring, satellite command & control operations, satellite performance monitoring & control and satellite on-board equipment maintenance and management
To carry out standby duty (on-call support) for operation team as per standby schedule; as well as becoming a team member for continuous improvement projects within the team
Representative Activities -
Operate satellites in a safe manner as per the Recommended Operating Procedures, Satellite Operation Manuals, operation documents and manufacturer advices to ensure MEASAT fleets successful mission
Prepare routine command execution requests to MEASAT fleets for various satellite operational activities, testing and development initiatives
Maintain alarm limits and MEASAT fleet database
Perform analysis of out of limit events and anomaly
Perform analysis utilizing MEASAT fleet telemetry and data to deduce fleets’ performances and status
Provide assistances during satellite anomaly investigation and recovery activities
Provide technical expertise and consultation to other departments, if required
Provide operation standby support (on-call)
Participate in Daily Activity Plan meeting
Provide weekly status report during standby week
Candidates requirements -
Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Aeronautical, Electrical, Electronics or Communication)
At least 1 year of working experience in a Communication Satellite environmentHowever, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
Basic knowledge in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, & Power Point)
Good knowledge in computer programming and coding Knowledge in Python is a plus
Good written and oral language skills with fluency in Bahasa Melayu and English
