Job Description


Responsible for company’s financial and accounting function to ensure financial reports are timely and accurate
1) To ensure preparation of timely management reports including Estimate, Actual and Rolling Forecast
2) To ensure monthly business review management report
3) To ensure the formulation of annual budget
4) To attend to various statutory, secretarial, tax and government requirements
5) To monitor cash flow projection and treasury activities of Malaysia plant
6) To refine and improve costing system to meet business requirement
7) To ensure that the company has effective financial control of operations by monitoring and overseeing the use of control systems, procedures and mechanisms
8) To adhere to all accounting guidelines as well as complying with generally accepted current accounting standards
9) To assist in the evaluation of financing proposals
10) To liaises with banks and other financial institutions, audit, insurance, tax, legal and corporate insurance matters
11) To ensure that the company complies with its obligations by compiling periodic internal and statutory reports
12) To establish and maintain effective internal controls to protect and to safeguard the company's assets and its conformity to corporate policies and procedures
13) To coordinate with company secretary on corporate secretarial matters
14) To maintain good effective relationships with principals, suppliers, government authorities, external and internal auditors
15) To perform any other financial, treasury and corporate secretarial related duties as and when the needs arise
16) To manage a group of accounting personnel and be responsible for their recruitment, training and development
17) To perform any other projects as assigned
18) To sign financial documents and approve transactions accorded by the management

• Degree/Professional Degree in Accountancy with at least 8-10 years’ experience in a managerial capacity
• Able to grasp business logic, and apply to accounting and operational situations
• Working experience in an international accounting firm and / or manufacturing environment would be preferred
• Good team player who is able to interact at all levels
• Strong leadership qualities and initiative
• Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge in SAP Finance module and those with competent EXCEL skills are preferred
