POSITION: FIRST LEVEL EXECUTIVE, IT AUDIT | INTERNAL AUDIT DEPARTMENTROLE PURPOSE:Conduct reviews and audits to enable the department to effectively discharge its responsibility in providing independent and objective assurance on the adequacy of both the design and effectiveness of the Bank’s IT internal control environment. In addition, to assist in improving the effectiveness of risk management measures and governance processes, and promoting a high level of control awareness throughout the Bank.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Provide support in the establishment and maintenance of the department s IT applications to support the implementation of a management information system to track the progress of audit activities, compliance with quality control measures and outstanding audit issues under the Risk-Based Internal Auditing Framework (RBIAF) and in conformance to the Institute of Internal Auditors StandardsProvide support to audit teams in terms of reviewing the adequacy of the design and effectiveness of the control measures in the Bank s IT infrastructurePerform analysis, monitor and report the progress of IT audit activities and resolution of outstanding audit issues for management reporting on a timely basisDevelop IT framework/manual as reference for IT auditors in performing their functionPerform audit assignment on a timely basis in accordance with the established scope, approach, methodology and techniques to achieve desired audit objectivesEnsure that the quality of the audit conducted and audit reports meet the expectation of the department s stakeholdersReport to the department s management on significant control and procedural deficiencies and provide recommendation on matters arising from IT audits; monitor and report to the Board Audit Committee the progress made on the implementation of remedial actionsReview specific operations of the Bank or other entities/associated organisations, conduct post-implementation IT audit of projects and any other matter as directed by the department s management, Senior Management or Board Audit CommitteePromote a high level of IT control awareness throughout the Bank and assist in the deterrence of fraud by evaluting the adequacy of internal control in mitigating fraud risksMaintain a high standard of discipline and conduct by observing the internal code of ethics and the Bank s rules and regulationsManage the departmental IT initiatives/projects and proposals to ensure alignment with the Bank s business and strategic objectives.CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS:Assiting in designing and implementing a Management Information System to facilitate the implementation of the RBIAFCritical thinking, root cause analysis and auditing skillsBeing well-versed in internal controls, governance and risk management mattersKeeping abreast with the latest trends and methodologies in auditing and internal audit professional practices and standardsKeeping abreast with the latest development in the Bank s staff policies and guidelinesStrong collaboration and cooperation with line management and subordinatesAbility to provide timely information and useful analysisCHALLENGES:Meeting expectations of Senior Management and other stakeholdersObtain the auditees’ “buy-in” of audit assessment and ratingsProviding advice on best practices in internal controls, risk management measures and governance processes related to IT infrastructureAssisting in the development of an effective Management Information System (MIS)Producing good analysis from MIS to support audit activities and facilitate uncovering of adverse trendsContinuous surveillance and identification of deviation from the department and Bank s staff policies and internal guidelines and addressing such concerns in a timely mannerSKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:Academic Qualifications:Bachelor s degree in IT, accounting, economics, banking or finance with at least Second Class Upper or a CGPA of 3.00. Professional qualification or certification in IT (ISACA) will be an added advantageAt least Credit in five subjects including Bahasa Melayu, English and Mathematics in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)Experience:At least 2 years of working experience in banking supervision, auditing or ITOTHER REQUIREMENT:Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa MelayuOnly shortlisted candidates will be notified
