Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for

Leading and managing an export sales team to achieve established sales targets, business goals and operational performance standards

Developing a long term business plan and annual business strategies

Determining the annual sales target and gross profit

Determining and formulating sales strategies, objectives, policies, tactics in line with the business plan to achieve maximum sales volume and effective territorial expansion

Constantly developing new strategies and measures to meet these market requirements

Analyzing the existing business performance for all customers, devising strategies to improve them and developing new strategies for the business growth of the company

Actively analyzing market situation to determine new market trend, changes in consumer’s behaviours

Actively monitoring the market situation to determine consumers' needs, preferred products and packaging, purchasing habit, changes in consumer journeys, and proposing strategies to navigate the changing business environment

Actively adopting Blue Ocean Strategic Thinking to lead the market

Be constantly prepared to provide fresh ideas, innovation and direction for Company’s future growth and expansion by collaborating with the Directors for further brainstorming

Identifying and providing solution where necessary to customers in creating and building brand awareness in their respective market to achieve growth

Closely analyzing the performance of each country and taking necessary actions to improve performance where needed

Creating a winning team by selecting the right talents and working with them through training, coaching and advancement planning program

Devising measures to project and enhance Company's brand by improving the professionalism of our employees and the services provided

Constantly providing constructive feedback on Julie's products in order to enhance the products' quality and branding image

Synergizing with Corporate Branding Department to continuously building "Julie's" brand name in the international market

Ensuring healthy growth of the Company’s sales and products range to achieve adequate profitability for the company by curtailing costs hike, increasing customers base and products turnaround whichever is deemed appropriate

Ensuring the implementation of sales initiatives or launches are driven with speed and effectiveness

Ensuring creative ways of growing sales through multi-channel approach

Ensuring the delivery of best-in-class execution of availability and visibility for the products in the trade

Ensuring effective measures are taken to address the weaknesses of the Company in order for the Company to function effectively and stay ahead of its competitors

Ensuring that the Company is always prepared to face any challenges in the future

Other responsibilities as assigned by superior and Company

Qualifications and Skills Required

The ideal candidate will have

Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any related field with at least 10 years working experiences in a related field (preferably in FMCG), or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preference will be given to candidates with in-depth knowledge on how FMCG industry works such as its distribution channels, networks and trades outlets

Knowledge and experience in branding, marketing, digital marketing would be an added advantage

Proven record and experience in sales team management as well as operations

Proven success of generating and closing business as an individual and through effective team leadership

A strategic visionary with sound sales skills and techniques, analytical ability, good judgment and strong customer focus

Strong knowledge and experiences in planning, forecasting, sales force and distributor management, key customer management and etc

The ability and capability to craft and execute sales strategies and plan

Good leadership, good people management skills and ability to inspire and motivate those around him/her

Excellent interpersonal skill, pleasant and mature disposition

Reliable, energetic, honest, accountable, well-groomed and well-maintained professional image

Decisive and possesses a broad perspective, good planning, analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving and decision-making skill

Proactive, resourceful, detail-oriented, able to thrive in high-pressure situations and meeting deadlines

Well-organized and self-directed

A good team player with good interpersonal skill where frequent collaboration across functional teams or company is necessary

Good negotiation skills, articulate and able to relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills

Trustworthy, good educator, willing to share information and serve as a mentor toward business objectives

Good presentation, oral and written communication skills in English and Malay, Mandarinwould be an added advantage

Computer-literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Willing to travel

Office based in Alor Gajah, Melaka
