Job Description

Responsibilities
Execute the day-to-day activities according to the highest standards of financial control, compliance and best practiceEnsure quality and accurate delivery of services within agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and as defined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and SOPs of the respective business sub-process

Key activities & Deliverables
Co-ordinate and execute month end, quarter end and year end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate closure of accounts in compliance with work instructions and month end close checklistPerform and analyse booking accounting transactions, fixed assets, working and calculations are executed on timely and accuratelyClearing of open items in accountsPerform analytical review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet, cost centre checks and transaction posting checksEnsure accruals are properly justified and correctly postedTo ensure all journals are performed accurately and timelyTo maintain fixed asset register and execute depreciation runPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation, highlight and rectify any anomalies encounteredSubmission of monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting packages accurately and within specified timescale

Documentation & Controlling
Ensure all work documentation and work processes are updated and meet with Internal Control Financial Reporting (ICFR), group policies and guidelines, local statutory and legal requirements within agreed service timelinesPerform back up function and other duties including job rotation to other functional teams as and when requiredParticipate in any compliance audits and respond to audit queriesTransformation/ Continuous Improvement ImplementationsWork collaboratively with customers and stakeholdersEngage and support the teams in the implementation of continuous improvement projectProactively identify, recommend and implement solutions in consultation with the management for continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of operationAssist to ensure effective knowledge transfer as for sustainable development knowledge and sharing of best practices within the team

Qualifications & Experience Required
Degree or Diploma in Finance & Accounting/Commerce or equivalentGood communication skill and able to communicate effectively in EnglishMinimum 3-5 years working experiences in the related field Note Applications by individual’s with less than 2 years’ experience will be at the GAMA Associate levelSAP knowledge or other ERP accounting systems and MS Office toolsProficiency in English, Mandarin andother languages required with good communication skill

Desirable qualifications
External experience in a shared service or business process outsourcing engagement will be preferable
