The post holder will make an important contribution to the work of the University by providing Human Resources end to end administration and general operation support
Main duties and responsibilities
The primary purpose of the role is to deliver quality work on HR operational activities within timelines and in compliance to standards and guidelines Incumbent is responsible for end to end ownership of work areas below
a) Talent ManagementInitiate and/or assist in the whole recruitment process (end to end) ; sourcing, adverts placement, shortlisting, interview process, ref check, salary offer process and up to on boarding processMonitor and administer employee probation and confirmationAdminister and assist HR Lead /Head on performance management process through Performance Development Review (PDR) by establishing continuous PDR monitoring and reporting systemLiaison with Recruitment Agencies, Job portals and Media for talent sourcing and adverts placementOverall administration on HR correspondences
b) Employee Services, Relation & Industrial
Assist in the end to end process from paperwork to submission for all Immigration and IRDA related application, such as Work permit (DP10) and Employment Pass (DP11), PVP, Knowledge Worker status requiredMonitor individual staff’s Employment Pass/ Work Permit expiry and ensure the renewal is obtained before the expiryProcess and administer Group Insurance claims and monitoring Staff Benefit claimsGeneral administration of HR functions - Purchase OrderGeneral leave administration and monitoring on entitlement
c) Compensation & Benefit
Assist monthly payroll transaction reporting of hiring and leaver to C&B payroll in a timely manner Ensuring the documentation required for payroll is accurately maintained and submittedUpdating/ data entry inTrent System - Responsible for updating and record maintenance of employee
c) Training & Development
Overall (end to end) training administration, training calendar implementation and updating of recordAssist Lead on TNA process and requirement mappingHandle monitoring and process of HRDF grant and claimsTo support the development of UoRM teaching enhancement and researcher development programmes including where appropriate delivery/trainingd) OtherLiaison with relevant authorities and agencies such as IRDA, Immigration, Ministry of Higher Education onSupport HR line Manager/Head on any employee and Industrial issueThe post holder is expected to undertake any other duties that fall within the scope of the post as allocated by the line manager, following consultation with the post-holderTo observe and work within the University of Reading’s values and professional behaviours framework
