Summary of Principal Job Responsibility:The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. S/he also ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities:Network• Manage network system for good performance and stability for any machines in the organization.• Perform regular network monitoring, verify the integrity and availability including firewall, routers, switches, other network devices.• Install, update, and patch network devices with industry best practice standard.Server/Desktop• Install new / rebuild existing servers, desktop and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.• Manage and maintain all servers including but not limited to Domain Controllers, File Servers, Print Servers, check and resolve problem on system with event log or other.• Administer and support server operating systems and related infrastructure services, such as Active Directory, File/Print, DNS, Terminal Services, Antivirus, SSL Installation etc.• Manage and provide hardware, software and virtual server for any purposes, such as test environment to ensure availability of system management product and its functionality.• Upgrade and configure system software that supports the IT infrastructure per project or operational needs.• Perform regular system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups, and related administration tasks.• Maintain and support system management products for technical defect, security patches, security hardening.User• Manage user account and permission for access email, domain, shared folder and internal website.• Research for IT and technology-related issues.• Perform daily backup operations and DRP Activity, ensure all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.• Work closely with user, provide support per request from various user. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.• Support and provide IT awareness and training to end user to increase productivity through the use of IT.Additional responsibilities• Manage and coordinate with outsourced vendors.• Be sometimes required to work evenings and/or weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice. 24 x 7 Support is required.• Assist in the creation of the system design for all new development projects.• Advice and conduct knowledge and practice transfer to related IT system administrator and system operation group.• Ongoing support for future enhancement and customization request for specific purpose.• Contribute and maintain documentation.• IT ProcurementJob RequirementsCandidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.Certified MCSE, MCP, or CCNA would be an advantage.Required skill(s): Microsoft windows, MAC, Documentation, Networking, Technical support, Administration, Windows server OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Failover Clustering, Email, Anti-virus, virtual environment(Microsoft Hyper-V), SSL Installation,Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, EnglishAt least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.Applicants must be willing to work in Phileo Damansara II,Petaling Jaya.Preferably Junior Executives specializing in IT/Computer - Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.Full-Time position(s) available.
