To create category strategies as well as execution of strategic sourcing process

What are you accountable for

Strategy definition and communication

Support the execution of category management strategies and activities and of strategic sourcing process and approaches for assigned categories/sub-categoriesFor smaller spend sub-categories, plan, deploy and disseminate category strategies and plans and conduct sourcing projects by engaging stakeholders and the required cross-functional resourcesTendering, negotiation and contract managementSpecify requirements for materials and services in category areaIdentify end users and/or suppliers to have advanced discussions on the usability/ interchangeability of itemsManage sophisticated financial analysis and business cases taking into consideration currency fluctuations, payment terms, and alternative financial cost scenarios and can deliver financial and commercial business cases in a broad range of categoriesExpert in defining and executing negotiation tactics and skillfully manage difficult and complex strategic negotiations Perform key analysis and develop a strategic negotiation plan, get outside opinion, and arm myself to be proactive during all negotiationsUse detailed market analysis to create scenarios regarding potential market development Use insights from market analysis to support stakeholder innovation, to mitigate risks for Maxis, and to amend category strategies or to deliver additional savingsRegularly use e-Sourcing technology and support its use

Supplier relationship management (SRM)
Work with the business to define the supplier KPIs, scorecard, vendor management model, data sources and collection methods on supplier performanceSupport the business to manage relationships with incumbent strategic suppliers including driving supplier innovation and developing joint improvement initiativesDevelops supplier relationships beyond the incumbent to explore options and drive value and innovation for the business

Performance reporting and compliance

Supports the development of measurable category objectives and targets, and assist to produce regular reportsPromote compliance to Procurement processes and policies across the business

People management

Supervise Category Sourcing Specialists on category sourcing activities, provide guidance and support, monitor and prioritise workload of team

Stakeholder management

Responsible for inter-BU coordination for eg supplier review meetingsManagement of BU/Procurement escalations and engagement of formal governance mechanisms where required

What do you need to have for this role

Minimum Bachelor degree qualification, preferably in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or Business ManagementProven experience in managing a small team and successfully delivering projectsMinimum 10 years relevant procurement experience, of which 4 years should be in TelecommunicationsProven expertise in managing and negotiating with suppliers in relevant supplier markets within TelecommunicationsFluent in English (both written and verbal)Intermediate analytical thinking skills and adept at analysing and synthesising complex data to develop valid recommendationsExpert sourcing and supplier management skills with a proven ability to challenge teams on key decisions and lead negotiations with strategic suppliersAdvanced relevant computer skills (MS Office, ERP systems, e-procurement systems, including Ariba and SAP)Data center management (private, public cloud) Cyber security, Big data, Cognitive & AI Exposure to SDN, NFVAdvanced category expertise relevant to telecommunications and the categories in scope of responsibilityAdvanced contract management skills with proven experience in developing relevant legal contractual terms and conditionsExperience in design and management of eRFx/eAuction events in multiple subcategories and have managed eRFx/eAuction events and selection processes with a medium number of suppliers and complexityExperience with MRP/ERP tools in multiple subcategories and managed MRP/ERP utilization with a medium number of suppliers and complexity Also can conduct supplier training on MRP/ERP tools
