Job Description

TheM&E Manager(Project) is to effectively manage the project for the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Service till testing & commissioning and handover Specifically managing and undertaking of electrical testing Ensuring that 100% compliance to all relevant professional, specification, regulatory, local legislative and design standards

Manage and develop the direct delivery teams providing staff with clear and concise direction Ensure close liaison and effective working with suppliers and contractors

Role and Responsibilities



Managing mechanical and electrical services of project and tender

Take responsibility and manage the on-site installation and commissioning of all M&E activities

Liaise with all designers and sub-contractors to develop installation and commissioning programmes

To coordinate M&E design and installation issues (Value Engineering) on a range of projects to ensure the profitable and safe delivery of projects on time construction work to ensure that it is in line with project quality plans, specifications and the conditions of contract

Supervise the site M&E teams’ setup, monitoring and tracking progress, providing regular updates to Management in order to ensure effective allocation of resources

Providing necessary information to the Procurement Department to enable the procurement of materials and subcontractors

Providing expertise in M&E planning and methodology- Implementing monitoring systems and designing monitoring tools

Developing data collection tools

-Liaise with consultants, suppliers and sub-contractors, including monitoring the progress and following–up with sub-contractors on approved work

-Liaise with contractors or equipment suppliers, conduct final verification on work plans for Management’s approval



Qualification/ Experience



Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent



Required skill(s)



MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCad

At least 10 years of work experience in building construction with 3 years of exposure in the Hospital or Healthcare Building/Facility (ACMV, Fire Protection, Lift Services & Plumbing)

Preferably Managers specializing in Engineering - Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Essential knowledge and experience in managing M&E works in handling project planning, budget and cost control, safety and quality system implementation

Essential knowledge and experience in ISO, QLASSIC and 5S implementation
