Role Overview

We currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Manager within our Operations function to be based at Tapah, Malaysia Our Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the plant equipment maintain in proper condition and more reliable in the long run to achieve the production target and cost budget set by company

Key Responsibilities Include;
1 Environment, Safety and Health Management
Comply with Sibelco EHS policies and procedures; promote and provide EHS leadership within area of responsibility
2 Maintenance Management
Deliver effective mechanical & electrical predictive/preventative maintenance of critical processing fixed and Mobile plantImplement effective condition based monitoring programsImplement an appropriate critical spares program based on best practice and justifiable criteriaEnsure accurate capturing and analysis of maintenance data and equipment work histories in order to provide effective recommendations to Production and Maintenance teamActive participate in the capital projects process including providing reliability input to the equipment design,specification and purchaseEngage and drive sustaining and productivity projects with the local change agentAdequate knowledge and skill in items belowPump and motor (functions, failure, improvements)Control Eng (SCADA, PLC systems)Instrumentations (Thermocouples, flow meters, actuators, valves etc)Project design, detail Eng and evaluation
3 Reliability Management
Establish and deliver effective benchmark targets for equipment reliability performance of site plant & equipment using Sibelco Maintenance Handbook as a guideAdequate knowledge in maintenance, control engineering and mineral processingDeliver effective mechanical & electrical reliability programs for all site critical processing fixed and mobile plantReview and analyse data from Production Supervisors on equipment reliability issuesDrive a systematic and effective reliability improvement process involving all key stakeholders (ie Production, Maintenance, Contractors and Suppliers) by leading a regular meeting to review equipment bad actors resulting in action plans for increasing overall equipment effectiveness (reliability)
4 People Management
Provide strong leadership for reliability improvement & equipment maintenanceDemonstrate, lead and build safe behavior and leadership plant wideWork with the maintenance team to build a culture of waste elimination, using lean principles in all maintenance functions insuring preventive / predictive maintenance tasks are carried out in the most effective mannerSupport the implementation of Sibelco Maintenance handbook by using the information to provide systems and learnings to the maintenance and operations teamsCoach and provide on-the-job training to ensure subordinate competence for job assign to themMonitor the performance of direct subordinates to ensure plant goal & objective are met
5 Communication Management
Lead the Root Cause Failure Analysis efforts for all critical item failures; provide improvement recommendations to key stakeholdersCascade down clear message and information to the teamCoordinate and participate in operation and maintenance related meetings to ensure proper communication cascade through the organization
Key competencies & skills - Technical skills;
Bachelor’s Degree, or similar Tertiary Education in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics EngineeringDemonstrated experience in PLC, SCADA system, control engineeringExperience in maintenance practices, asset management and reliability analysisExperience in budget and cost managementEffective leadership in change management skills, including financial, asset and team building techniquesFluent in business English Any other language skill is an assetA flexible approach that can adapt quickly to changeStrong relationship and stakeholder skills which compliment a team player attitude
