Management Trainees will undergo a rigorous structured training programme and be attached to various branches for a holistic experience of the store operations Trainees will be assigned hands-on roles and responsibilities that will aid their learning curve Successful Trainees can look forward to a rewarding fast-track career that entails being groomed for managerial level positions
During the training period, Management Trainees will assist the Managers in the day-to-day store operations, experiencing hands-on roles and responsibilities covering sales, cashiering, staff management and customer handling Trainees will also learn and understand the overall company business structure and functions
Trainees will assist the managers in the day-to-day store operations and be exposed to the following responsibilities which includes
Achieve department sales targets, goals and objectives
Assist to monitor sales figures and contribute inputs for analysis
Conduct daily briefing and assist with regular floor walks to maintain high quality in-store display with maximum cleanliness and upkeep of fixtures
Manage stock levels and control to ensure stock availability; minimising aged and damaged stock, and minimising stock loss
Work closely with buyers and merchandisers to ensure the department shines
Handle customer complaints and authorized to offer remedies on behalf of the department
Ensure that product knowledge is at its peak among salespeople; assist to conduct shop-floor training to motivate and build the skills of the team
Deal with Human Resources matters such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews and counselling, as well as assisting to ensure staff are skilled by providing, recommending or organising training and development by liaising with HR and through own in store initiatives
Ensure staff understands and adheres to security and operational procedures
Support tradeshows / roadshows
Any other duties assigned by superior
GCE ‘A’ Level or Diploma in Retail Management
Preferably with 3 years’ retail management experience
Possess good Management and Leadership qualities
Good aptitude with figures
Eager to learn and able to acquire new knowledge and skills quickly
Results driven and action-oriented
Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate clearly with a variety of people at all levels
High level of business ethics and integrity
Strong sense of customer service
Confident with high sense of responsibility
Ability to solve problems and make effective decisions
Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace working environment
Ability to adapt to challenging situations
Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously
Management Trainees must be prepared to work in a variety of challenging situations and be able to deal with all types of customers and staff You will be under pressure to perform well to qualify for advancement
