Job Description

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Advertising/Media, Mass Communications or equivalent

At least 7Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position

Required Skill(s) Has good personality, excellent in both writing and communication skills

Preferably Manager specialized in Public Relations/Communications or equivalent

Responsibilities (Summary)

1The person shall support and assist the department in coordinating and executing its objectives in accordance with the department's agreed plans and strategies The support and assistance include

Build, maintain and enhance relationships with key stakeholders to ensure on-going coordination, communication and support for Company's efforts in driving the Bumiputera Agenda

Plan and coordinate initiatives and activities with the respective parties

Represent the Company at relevant meetings and events

2The person is also responsible for strategizing, developing and executing Company's media related activities in a timely and effective manner, with the aim of creating and enhancing a positive image of the Company amongst the stakeholders and media

3The person is entrusted to communicate key messages on Company through various media platforms such as print, electronic and online

Promoting Company's achievements, activities and events of significance and impact on the stakeholders

Expanding the general visibility of Company amongst the stakeholders and media

Job Description

1 Media Management

Planning, implementing and managing Company's media campaign to ensure optimal publicity on Company's events/ initiatives through various media channels ie print, electronic and online

Producing, reviewing, editing and copy-checking all written materials that are to be issued to media, such as press releases, speeches and fact sheets, among others to ensure consistency and accuracy across the board

Acting as key contact point from the Company in managing requests for interviews or enquiries from the media/ publishing houses

Organizing and managing press conferences and media briefings for the Company

2 Content Management

Liaising with respective division in obtaining latest facts and figures on Company's initiatives that will be used in press releases, speeches, fact sheets, etc

Assisting in production of Company collaterals particularly on the editorial aspects

3 Reputation and Crisis Management

Establishing and maintaining good rapport with members of the media at all times

Monitoring Company-related news on a daily basis and compile them for dissemination to the Management

Managing media queries and preparing media statement(s) as and when required

4 Web Management

Reviewing, editing and copy-checking all written materials that are uploaded on Company's website and newsletter to ensure quality of the write-ups and content, as well as the website appearance and user friendliness

Ensuring timely and accurate postings of Company's latest news and special announcement on its website and other related materials
