Job Description

POSITION MANAGER DATA MANAGEMENT and STATISTICAL SUPPORT STATISTICAL SERVICES DEPARTMENTRole PurposePlan manage and supervise the operations of the Unit to ensure all statistics submitted by the reporting entities are timely complete and accurate and processed promptly to facilitate dissemination of data to stakeholders in accordance with stakeholder requirements and international compilation standards and methodologies Principal AccountabilitiesAssumme the role of technical expert and point of reference on reporting requirements compilation methodologies and operating procedures for the Unit Develop and implement a data quality framework for systematic checking of statistics with the reporting system as well as across other internal systems or reference to other relevant data to ensure data consistency and integrity Ensure data compilation and dissemination are carried out in accordance to Enterprise Data Governace and Bank s policies Monitor and manage the operations of the Unit to ensure timely and accurate submission of data by reporting entitites prompt data processing systematic data quality check and disseminate credible and coherent data to users Review and provide value-added inputs to report prepared by FLEs highlight new unusual data developments to Management and other relevant users so that appropriate policy responses can be initiated Advise clarify and conduct training on reporting requirements to relevant officers in the Department and the Bank as well as conduct engagement session and industrial briefing to reporting entities to improve their understanding and thus contribute to better usage and quality of data Trouble shoot problems weaknesses encountered in the operating procedures and identify system weaknesses to be addressed by the development team for improvement enhancement Plan and allocate appropriate resources against the number of reporting entitites to ensure fair distribution of work amongst officers in the Unit Provide coaching and feedback to staff and identify training opportunities to help them develop their potential and further enhance their productivity Skills KnowledgeMust obtain 5 credits in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia SPM for subjects including Bahasa Malaysia English and Mathematics Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor s Degree Master s Degree in Statistics Economics Accounting Business or Finance with a minimum CGPA of 3 00 and above At least 5 years of working experience in the related field and knowledge in data analysis and data compilation Full-Time and contract positions available ONLY SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE NOTIFIED
