Key responsibilities include but not limited to the followingOperation Technical and Talent ManagementMaintain systems and processes to meet business needs of the organizationAcquire and develop resources to provide adequate level of engineering support for the external subcontractorsProvide leadership to the engineering team through goal setting coaching knowledge sharing and performance reviewProcess sustenanceProduction support through timely verification of maverick materials and dispositions In addition reviewing for immediate corrective actions and long term process improvementsCoordination and execution of qualification for all change management projects involving assembly process and equipment BOM and material without disruption to product supply and within committed planned timeline Manage transfer projects for capacity expansion and ensuring no delay to project timeline Continuous ImprovementActively engage and collaborate with external subcontractors internal Business Units and any other parties of interest for continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunitiesBOM change elimination ofnon-value add activities process optimizations and standardizationsTechnical EngagementProvide technical support for transfer devices to ensure no assembly issues during production ramp Audits when neededOccasionally execute qualification and surveillance audits at external subcontractors to ensure compliance to Quality Standards and Systems as well as to ON Semiconductor requirementsKey to success will include strong analytical skills wide experience in manufacturing and technical aspects of all assembly processes of semiconductor products good presence with executive staff and an ability to work with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams Mature in dealing with setbacks disappointments with strong desire to improve the effectiveness of the organization Additional specific responsibilities will include but not limited to the followingWeekly and monthly reporting of key performance indicators and project execution updatesDevelopment and proliferation of lessons learnt best known methods in project and change management execution On top of all above this position encompasses the responsibility of being representative of ON Semiconductor to the external subcontractors and will be required to delivery professional representation of ON Semiconductors image as an ethical mature and professional player in the semiconductor industry QualificationsThe candidate must have an undergraduate degree in engineering and come from the semiconductor industry Background in Operations in a high volume manufacturing environment is preferred Additional experience of managing assembly operations in a semiconductor ODM The successful candidate must have at minimum the following8 to 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with minimum of 3 years managing and leading a team of experienced engineers from diverse cultural and nationalities Standard IC semiconductor assembly and test process knowledge substrate and leadframe based Quality Management and Quality Assurance standards including ISO 9001 IATF 16949 and VDA 6 3 along with associated tools APQP FMEA and Control Plan Statistical Techniques and Design of ExperimentsStrong proficiency and command of the English language as regular communications will be required with business units and regional representatives Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills including interpersonal and people development skills Have the tenacity and determination to drive for resolutions and ensuring goals are met with minimal disruption to project timeline Ability to travel at short notice typically within Asia region
