Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Branding and A&P

Identify target audiences and stakeholders and understand their needs

Develop & nurture a brand image for the Group and its related institutions that will guide its overall marketing communications

Develop market research plans and coordinating with other stakeholders on performing market & customer research

Develop & execute an advertising & promotional (A&P) strategy and plan in coordination with the Student Recruitment teams (Sales) including newspaper, magazines, SEM, social media advertising, large scale education fairs etc

Formulate a Group and institution design theme for the annual print advertisement campaigns

Develop and acquire a suite of branded corporate souvenirs and marketing collaterals

Engage partners and vendors in planning & participating in selected education exhibitions

Digital Marketing

Develop & execute a robust digital strategy that will enhance the institution’s digital presence and aid in its marketing efforts

Strategise, plan and execute digital lead generation campaigns across multiple channels including SEM, social media, email, SMS, mobile messaging and more

Plan and execute lead nurturing campaigns using marketing automation & CRM tools

Oversee the digital media buy and optimise it for efficiency

Manage the marketing and reporting section of the Group’s Salesforce system

Develop new content to drive the institutions’ content marketing initiatives

Oversee the management and continuous enhancement of the Group and its institutions’ websites

To act as the custodian of the Groups domain name monitoring service with Google

Public Relations & Corporate Communications

Develop & implement communications strategies to meet the Group’s needs

Prepare written materials for public awareness and marketing campaigns and maintain a range of publications to meet communications goals including brochures, posters, media releases, newsletters, website, banners and internet text and more

Maintain and develop links with media outlets to facilitate good communication and ensure good, fair and accurate coverage of the institution and programmes by preparing media statements, press releases and press invites

Organise and coordinate important corporate events that would add value to the institution’s brand image including CSR programmes

Recommend strategies to manage crises, including identifying appropriate responses and communication channels

Internal Communications

Develop communications policies and execute plans for internal communications to meet institutional goals and the needs of stakeholders

Develop or enhance internal communication channels including email announcements, newsletters, public notices, town hall gatherings, staff engagement etc

Develop articles and write-ups that highlights on-campus events or news


Provide department-level leadership and strategic direction

Prepare and monitor department and project budgets

Develop & maintain SOPs for all department operations and managing organizational risks

Coordinate with agencies and vendors in their delivery of services

Manage other team members to ensure smooth department operations

Other duties as may be assigned by the Management or the direct supervisor


Minimum of 7 years’ experience with 3 years as a manager or department head in a marketing and public relations role

Possess at minimum a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Master’s degree will be an advantage

Must be adept at crafting creative, fresh, exciting and out of the box marketing campaigns both in digital, print and off-line channels

Must be adept at digital marketing strategies including content marketing, email marketing, automation & CRM tools, digital advertising, SEO

Possession of valid Google Ad, Facebook Advertising, and other digital marketing certification will be an advantage

Experience with digital advertising & CRM tools such as Salesforce, Hubspot, Marketo, Adobe Campaign etc will be an advantage

Must have a strong command of English and be able to craft or edit messages, speeches, and other written communications

Willing to work at Cyberjaya
