To manage the company and rsquo s advertising budget in a planned manner to enhance the company and rsquo s image and that of its products Responsible for the advertising and promotions activities of the retail chain Manage the in-house agency Strategize conceptualize develop and execute advertising and promotion plans and advertising communications encompassing online and offline Work closely with the Management Retail Managers and design team to develop effective marketing and advertising plans aimed at increasing sales and profits Work with the different business units to ensure A and P thematic promotions are understood and content from business units are as per briefed to ensure promotion effectiveness Monitor market trend and competitors and rsquo activities to ensure effective execution of advertising and promotion plans Create enticing preposition to value add to shoppers experience and this includes identifying and negotiating with third parties for joint collaborations Work closely with strategic and promotion partners to map out effective promotions to drive business and monitor and report post campaign results Manage all above and below the line communications including those in-stores Liaise with the media owners on advertisements bookings and press releases Simple copy writing is required Checks and verify copy writing Manage the marketing aspects of Harvey Norman website and ensure the site is relevant and updated Look at ways to increase the website hit rate Assist with annual budget development Negotiate for the optimum terms for the company with regards to contracts in the area of advertising marketing and relevant external vendors Generate reports monitor and analyze sales promotion results against objectives to determine cost effectiveness of promotion campaigns Job requirement Degree in Business Studies Marketing and Communications Arts and Social Science or relevant Minimum 5 experience in advertising and promotion or marketing communications Relevant in-house agency or industry in Retail Telco FMCG experience preferred Excellent communications and presentations skills as well as writing and editing skills in English Exposure to New Media Marketing operationally strong and savvy with local media landscape Creative receptive to ideas committed analytical meticulous and strong ability to multi-task Pleasant personality persuasive good influencing skills and able to interact with people i e operations merchandising suppliers Good leadership skills and able to lead a team and be able to work in a fast paced environment Strong communication skills in English Bahasa Malaysia and conversant in other dialects Foreign candidates who met the requirements are encouraged to apply
