Job Description

The Marketing & Promotion Manager is a dedicated marketing resource assigned to lead, plan and execute annual, property-wide, integrated and innovative strategic marketing programs that drive foot traffic and improve top-of-mind awareness for the shopping complex

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development
Assist with the development of a long-term, research-based, strategic vision for the centre and its competitive marketplaceLead cross-functional teams and drive strategic direction to deliver an innovative, integrated annual marketing plan and budget leveraging a broad marketing mix to position the shopping complex strongly in the market and drive engagement, mall traffic, increased shopper spend and frequency of visits, and awareness of the shopping complex tenant portfolioHave a very detailed understanding of sales performance and traffic results and their implication to on-going strategyResearch and maintain expertise in current and emerging consumer marketing trends and experiences

Project manage the creation, delivery and optimization of marketing campaigns – from large/complex to short/specific – that deliver on the value proposition of the annual marketing planStrictly and diligently manage marketing budget processCollaborate and lead to plan, execute and measure creative and impactful digital and traditional media strategiesSeek and encourage retailer participation in marketing programs as an effort to promote their business and add value to overall marketing effortsLeverage Project Management platform(s) to organize and inform work-teams, document decisions, share creative assets and assign tasksProvide regular status reports and briefings to stakeholders and functional leadership teams

Day-to-Day Execution
Act as the shopping complex lead marketing contact and collaborate with Corporate Public Relations and external agencies to create strong plans to complement our marketing programsDeliver creative and flawlessly executed marketing events and activations that are included in the marketing plan - including retailer programming, events, sponsorships, partnerships, influencer programs, promotions, and seasonal campaign integration – on time and on budgetOversee traditional and digital marketing strategies and activities for the property, including social and web publishing, SEO measurement, optimization, and maintenance while ensuring alignment with editorial guidelines and brand standardsDevelop and nurture strong community relationshipsCreate traffic generating, no cost community and non-profit events and partnershipsManage and prioritize work effectively to ensure internal deadlines, timetables and approvals are metOther duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or relate field required, Master’s degree preferred8+ years of B2C marketing experience, including digital and retail and/or related shopping complex marketing experience3+ years’ experience in digital marketingExperience at a marketing agency a plusStrong understanding of Public RelationsStrong experience with strategic planning and project management
