KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Stock Management and Allocation: • Work closely with all departments in planning and maintaining optimum stock levels.• Review and analyse Branch and Department performance on a weekly basis, and then interpret this information to identify opportunities.• Identify and communicate sales opportunities and stock liabilities by door on a regular basis. Ensure that buy quantities and stock levels meet current sales trends and maximize readiness for key selling time periods.• Maintaining stock accuracy on in house systems across all channels.• Ensure strong stock position by door on core, seasonal basics and item programs. Maximize sales and profit by monitoring sales and stock penetrations on key programs as well as clearance and aging by door.• Lead on all in-season stock replenishment for Retail and Web stores.• Propose and implement inter store transfers and movement of stock to achieve optimal stock balances.• Monitor and ensure recommended size ratios are maintained across styles.• Work on re-allocation of stock between business channels depending on business needs.• Run and analyze weekly reports on sales and stock levels• Input and management of pricing and price updates on retail systems• Input Markdowns onto retail system.• Support the line manager in building an effective team environment.• Participate in all team and inter department meetings where Merchandising needs to be involved.Reporting: • Produce daily, Weekly and Monthly sales report.• Prepare and distribute Monday Packs (Sales by line) for management.• Propose analysis on store category performance and propose changes to Stock levels/Ranges.• Continual contact with stores (main point of contact in Head Office).KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES: • Highly analytical individual.• Someone who is organised with a real understanding of the importance of accuracy of information.• An understanding of the merchandising principles -key drivers and performance indicators• A true understanding of Excel and mathematics. • Passionate about your work with a ‘can-do’ attitude.• Self-starter who is motivated with a disciplined approach to problem solving.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: • Knowledge of the fashion industry.• Experience of Allocations and stock management preferable but not essential.• Advanced Excel skills and numeric ability.• Highly organised – with ability to multi-task and prioritise.• Experience of working to critical deadlines.• Good written and verbal communication skills.• Previous retail experience an advantage.
