Serve as SME for wireless access strategist; develop and update capacity upgrade roadmap to meet future growth of voice/data/IoT traffic; develop solution for possible network/spectrum collaboration/sharing with other operators/partners; explore partnership platform/model to incubate/innovate new solutions.What are you accountable forTo develop mid-term wireless access technology strategy roadmap; evolution strategies and path for Maxis wireless access network (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, WiFi)Network Cost Optimisation. Work closely with finance to identify / understand major cost drivers within the network delivery model and provide planning solution for network delivery option cost optimization.Analysis and modelling for Wireless Access Network strategic deployment plan, including vendor evaluation, costing comparison and planning scenario modellingDevelop strategies on technology, hardware, capacity & functionality introduction to support rolling plan for operational excellence and maximise network performance. Identify and recommend wireless technology deployment plan to ensure Maxis in best position to capitalise market opportunityDevelop and maintain mid-term wireless access traffic projection and demand; based on application usage trend, device trend and user expectation demandIdentify & enhance system level network planning and evaluation of appropriate tools to meet business requirement and cost efficiency. Investigation of current usage of network data and recommend improvement and additional usage in relation to network capability and customer experience; Identify business opportunities from data analyticsDevelop solution for possible network/spectrum collaboration/sharing; network/cost scenario modeling and analysis with recommendationExplore new partnership/platform to incubate/innovate new solutions to grow from core businessWhat do you need to have for this role:Bachelors Degree, BEng in Electronics Engineering, BEng in Electrical Engineering or BEng in Telecommunication or equivalentTotal Work Experience: 11 to 15 yearsTotal Relevant Experience: 11 to 15 years in mobile telecommunicationsExcellent understanding of mobile network architecture, with strong knowledge of RAN related features for 2G/3G/4GProven capabilities to conduct system level traffic modelling, traffic forecast to derive capacity requirement and develop rolling plan.Expert in performance management tools for network analysis, trends and capacity requirements for both strategic and planning purposesStrong communication and presentation skill for cross-functional discussion and inter-working with different departments.Ability to work with peers and inter-department heads to develop a holistic network plan.If this sounds like you, then we need to hear from you!We’ll review your backgrounds against our needs, and should there be a good fit you’ll receive an invitation to a digital interview.
