Job Description

An Operations Improvement Engineer is part of the Operations Improvement (OI) Team and is responsible for analyzing and optimizing the performance of the BE You are responsible to identify opportunities for improvement in output, cycle time or cost You will also design, build and implement a solution

Responsibilities and Tasks

Apply industrial engineering concepts to line management, scheduling and dispatching, and production planningDesign and coordinate projects with several different departmentsWork with management to develop applications to continuously improve production metricsIdentify optimization opportunities in the BE and create innovative solutionsAutomate Back End processes to reduce variability and eliminate wasteParticipate in the creation, maintenance, improvement, and training of software, reports, and metrics used by Production and EngineeringDevelop, maintain, and improve scheduling and business rules to continuously improve the BE operationsBenchmark Micron Semiconductor Backend performance against other Back End sitesStrive to minimize capital requirements by optimizing tool performance using static models or simulationWork closely with the production leadership teams to address issues as they ariseDrive proactive and continuous improvement projects in areas across the BE using manufacturing methods and processes, quality, software systems, systems, cycle time, key tool metrics

Requirement
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/EEE/IE/Computer EngineeringWorking experience in database management methods and techniques and software programming or equivalent experienceDeep understanding of statistics, data analysis and problem solvingKnowledge of Manufacturing Science (scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning, etc)Strong written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with supported areas and peers and gain their trust and respectExcellent multi-tasking skillsAbility to lead and participate in cross functional teamsDemonstrate excellent project/time management and priority setting skillsIntermediate to advanced proficiency with the following applications Simulation, Queuing Theory, Capacity Forecasting, Statistic, Computer Applications and Programming Languages, SharePoint, ASPNET, C#, VB/VBA, SQL, JMP, etc
