Position Purpose & Summary
The Process engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, set specifications, controlling and optimizing industrial processes, especially continuious ones and monitor the equipment and processes that turn raw materials into end product. He/She will oversee daily operations and ensure the efficiency and efficacy of all processes and procedures, with the primary objective of improving and streamlining workflow.
Analyze process flow in plants to determine how the individual plants can perform and work better.Analyze project designs and process flow to help find ways to cut costs.Review the KPI monitoring systems and determine ways to improve their ability to maintain plant operations.Provide manufacturing data, i.e. production control charts, reliability, process capability, to improve the process and monitor and measure progress to target.Improve continually existing operation, for increased quality, productivity, efficiency and cost savings.Investigate operational problems, affecting production and reporting, and recommenending solutions.To assist the Production Manager as per instruction given.
Work with other relevant departments and subject matter experts (SME) to determine estimate costs, run time, cost reduction and close the feedback loop.Liase with production planner for ensuring the release of products have adequate BOM and routings.
Participate in customer and regulatory audits, and mock recalls.Develop working instructions and standards, process documents, and ensure they are followed.Train and supervise staff on new development processes and technology.
Deliver monthly reports on budget performance and stock check reports.
Education, Experience, Skills
Degree holder / Diploma in Engineering, Science, or Food Science.2-5 years work experience in vegetable oil refinery.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Strong team player and result oriented.Self starter with good MS office skills.Experience in SAP.
Experience in Inter-Esterification plant, Hydrogenation plant and/or Neutralizing plantBasic understanding of process plant reliability concept.
