Job Description

Develop deep understanding and expertise of the functional strategy and key risks to the delivery of the strategy in the Procurement Functional TowerEnabling functional success through the delivery of assurance which protects value
Develop second line of defense assurance and monitoring processes including continuous monitoring through data analytics

Provide SME input into the global rotational assurance programme

Identify and understand internal control risks and controls for each assurance review

Develop the scope of individual assurance reviews

Engage with senior partners in the development of the scope of assurance review

Apply their experience and subject matter expertise to provide insights to improve how risks are looking after

Identify value adding process and performance improvement opportunities, including simplification and automation opportunities

Lead, motivate and engage teams and SMEs involved in delivering assurance work

Work closely with the Global Procurement LT in further developing the three lines of defense model for our procurement activities

Work with the network of category managers and other procurement professionals in providing advice over the adequacy of the controlled environment, including risk barriers for compliance with rules and regulations (including international trade regulations)

Play the part as regional assurance tag for the delivery of our continuous monitoring and assurance reviews taking place in Asia (as the only assurance team member in the region)

Serve as the primary regional point of contact for the local leadership in relation to our assurance and monitoring of controls in both Kuala Lumpur and Bangalore (BPO)

Serve as support for the local Internal Control Service Managers as a link into the wider assurance team located in Budapest

Balance issues as they arise during the course of assurance reviews, raising to Assurance Managers and HoC as necessary

Deliver high quality and impactful written reports and presentations

Provide assurance on a sample basis of the closure of key incidents

Provide assurance strategy

Execute activities within the BPO assurance model

Provide input into Assurance Manager for the continuous improvement of the incident reporting process

Leading global due diligence process in regard to the Procurement function, enabling the head of function to provide required attestations on the control environment in GBS

Serve as an ambassador to the Internal Control Team

Preferred Experiences

Educated to university degree level or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Business ManagementAt least 8 year experience in comparable Control & Compliance and Risk or Audit rolesExperience in Internal Control, Internal Audit, Ethics and Compliance or LegalExperience in developing and executing a second line of defence assurance strategyExcellent understanding of system controls, financial controls and risk assessment including an understanding of how Finance processes and systems operate at the company and key interfacesProficient in English both verbal and writtenExcellent communication, interpersonal, and social skills
