Job Description

Develop deep understanding and expertise of the functional strategy and key risks to the delivery of the strategy in the Procurement Functional TowerEnabling functional success through the delivery of assurance which protects valueDevelop second line of defense assurance and monitoring processes including continuous monitoring through data analyticsProvide SME input into the global rotational assurance programmeIdentify and understand internal control risks and controls for each assurance reviewDevelop the scope of individual assurance reviewsEngage with senior partners in the development of the scope of assurance reviewApply their experience and subject matter expertise to provide insights to improve how risks are looking afterIdentify value adding process and performance improvement opportunities including simplification and automation opportunitiesLead motivate and engage teams and SMEs involved in delivering assurance workWork closely with the Global Procurement LT in further developing the three lines of defense model for our procurement activitiesWork with the network of category managers and other procurement professionals in providing advice over the adequacy of the controlled environment including risk barriers for compliance with rules and regulations including international trade regulationsPlay the part as regional assurance tag for the delivery of our continuous monitoring and assurance reviews taking place in Asia as the only assurance team member in the regionServe as the primary regional point of contact for the local leadership in relation to our assurance and monitoring of controls in both Kuala Lumpur and Bangalore BPOServe as support for the local Internal Control Service Managers as a link into the wider assurance team located in BudapestBalance issues as they arise during the course of assurance reviews raising to Assurance Managers and HoC as necessaryDeliver high quality and impactful written reports and presentationsProvide assurance on a sample basis of the closure of key incidentsProvide assurance strategyExecute activities within the BPO assurance modelProvide input into Assurance Manager for the continuous improvement of the incident reporting processLeading global due diligence process in regard to the Procurement function enabling the head of function to provide required attestations on the control environment in GBSServe as an ambassador to the Internal Control TeamPreferred ExperiencesEducated to university degree level or equivalent in Accounting Finance or Business ManagementAt least 8 year experience in comparable Control and Compliance and Risk or Audit rolesExperience in Internal Control Internal Audit Ethics and Compliance or LegalExperience in developing and executing a second line of defence assurance strategyExcellent understanding of system controls financial controls and risk assessment including an understanding of how Finance processes and systems operate at the company and key interfacesProficient in English both verbal and writtenExcellent communication interpersonal and social skillsEssential criteriaRecognised Accounting or Internal Audit qualification
