Position: Procurement ManagerReport to: Regional Procurement Manager and Site ManagerFunction & Primary ResponsibilitiesManagement• Establish department goals and objectives to provide the expected performance• Establish appropriate reports and measurable• Manage all department employees as per Teleflex policies and codes of ethics• Develop polyvalence between all department positions• Engage with Site Leadership team and adhere to site std. work• Build strong and vital organization by role model GO Leadership Behavior, have Plans in place for KTD and Succession Planning for all levels of the organization.• Ensure compliance to Code of Ethics. Manage all department employees as per Teleflex policies and codes of ethics.Procurement• Establish and execute to procurement/ supplier management strategy to deliver continuous improvement in supplier delivery, quality and cost.• Ensure timely receipts of material to support production schedule• Manage purchasing contract to guarantee Teleflex interest• Anticipate NPI requirements and support validation & ramp up phasesDemand Management• Ensure Demand review process is established to guarantee OTD and no Backorder to customer in terms of capacity and material management to customer demand• Acknowledge customer order in quantity and schedule• Attend S&OP meetingsPlanning• Schedule material demands and work order completion dates to support production activity• Proactively manage material and work order alignment• Interface with production and customer to establish workflow, including release dates to service provider (sterilization) and to customer.• Engage / communicate with Regional demand planningInventory Management• Establish & execute raw material inventory/ safety stock strategy• Optimise overall inventory value• Ensure accuracy of data in the system, including location, quantity on hand, in excess, obsolete etc.Warehouse/ Receiving• Ensure all materials are received and stored as per Teleflex policies.• Ensure turnaround time in managing the receiving activity• Ensure warehouse in good condition and meeting 5S standardsLogistics (inbound and outbound)• Ensure all customer orders are appropriately shipped to service provider and customer, including timing, documentations• Manage all incoming and outgoing activity of equipment and material, including all documentations.Project Management• Support all product replications, new products and material changes as it relates to Procurement.Skills• Proficiency in English communication (verbal and written). Ability to speak/write in other language/s (Malay, Chinese) will be desirable.• Excellent Communication, Negotiation and Presentation skills• Team Player and Flexible• An innovative thinker and change agent• High energy and able to bring a sense of urgency to an issue or challenge.• Gravitas with an ability to work with the most senior executives in the company.• International mind set with cultural sensitivity.• EntrepreneurialEducation• Relevant Degree Qualification (Masters in Supply Chain Management desired.)• A leader with strong roots in operational procurement, expert knowledge in Lean Manufacturing concepts, who has built a track record of clear and significant personal impact and leadership in production settings.• Expert knowledge in Lean Manufacturing conceptsExperience• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a purchasing function within Medical environment• Experience with ERP (JDE/SAP) system of a manufacturing environment• Strong roots in operational procurement• Built a track record of clear and significant personal impact and leadership in production settings.
