BP is embarking on an exciting period of change and growth to centralise Procurement activity for our Upstream Oil & Gas businesses in Kuala Lumpur.Reporting to the Sourcing Team Leader the primary purpose of these roles is to support Procurement activity for different categories and regions across BP globally.Working within a defined global process framework, this role will contribute to an enhanced service delivery model for how BP manages costs through third-party contract agreements to ensure maximum value is achieved.The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for the case management, sourcing strategy, supplier prequalification, event management, contracting and supplier management tasks and will liaise frequently with key stakeholders to ensure all business requirements are being met.Applicants will be required to work on one of the following shifts:6am - 3pm (Supporting Alaska and Western USA)3pm - 12am ((Supporting Middle East and Asia Pacific)5pm - 2am (Supporting East & Central USA)Applicants MUST have prior experience in at least one of the following areas:* Subsea - Wellheads, Engineered Equipment, Lifecycle Services or Execution Contracting* Wells - Stimulation, Testing, Placement & Optimisation or Emergency Control* Drilling - Operations, Maintenance, Rentals or Tools and Equipment* Logistics - Transportation, Warehousing, Aviation or Marine experienceKey Responsibilities:* Gather and analyse market intelligence data to inform decisions on sourcing strategy* Develop the ATM (approach to market) based on the approved sourcing strategy and manage approval processes* Screen, select, monitor and manage suppliers in line with defined global processes* Build and manage sourcing projects and events (RFI/RFP/Reverse Auctions) in the Ariba OneSource system* Determine and develop the contract template, content and execution with guidance from Legal and Category experts as required* Effectively represent each category and region supported to the business and suppliers* Support contract fitness activities to enable post-award purchasing and P2P applications* Continue to develop a solid understanding of supply agreement templates along with thorough understanding of legal concepts related to category guiding principles* Demonstrate initiative in supporting and leading continuous process improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies and to extract maximum value for BPEssential Skills & Experience (All Roles):In order to be considered for this vacancy, applicants must have; a minimum of four years experience in sourcing products and services, drafting and negotiating contracts and sourcing strategy preparation; strong commercial orientation and communication skills; a successful track record of PSCM delivery in complex, challenging international environments, ideally including Joint Ventures; advanced English language skills (Additional European/Asian languages are advantageous); experience working in a global organisation and; the resilience to work under pressure where competing priorities are the norm and demonstrating initiative to overcome obstacles is practiced.At BP safety is our priority.
