The Product Consultant is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle including gathering and prioritizing and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with sales, marketing, development and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Product Development Road Map
Assist Product Manager / Senior Product Consultant in developing Product Road Map Strategy.
Keeping abreast with industry trends, market information, field intelligence feedback and needs in the marine industry.
Assist Product Manager/Senior Product Consultant in executing Product Strategies Plan as set in line with organizational goal.
Regularly monitor and analyze competitors’ product to attain market position
Product Implementation & Support
Assist Product Manager/Senior Product Consultant in delivering Business Requirement Specification / change request to RND team for product development based on feedback
Assist Product Manager/Senior Product Consultant to facilitate and undertake functional testing of new product releases such as Factory Acceptance Tests( FAT) and User Acceptance Tests(UAT)
Product Delivery and Operations
Provide product/domain knowledge training presentation slides to internal employees and external customers for new releases and ongoing training to support BASS Training Services
Track and manage product development issues to ensure on-time delivery and quality is met.
Assist Product Manager / Senior Product Consultant to review content of the User Manuals, Training Materials, demo flow charts, CBT and product marketing material (business case scenarios and value propositions)
Develop and maintain Product Databases
Key personnel in providing pre-sales demos, workshops and product promotion activities
Actively participate in BASS’ customer forums by engaging with customers to gather feedback, future requirements and under customer needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Marine Nautical science and/or Marine Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 7 – 8 years relevant working experience in marine as a seafarer and/or equivalent within a maritime software
Has strong background in Marine Industry, preferably as Navigation Officer, Deck Officer, Marine Engineer
Technical Background and experience in Merchant shipping and/or Oil and Gas Industry
Practical and / or Technical knowledge of maritime ERP software solution software is an added advantage
Experience as auditor or inspector /ship superintendent will be an added advantages
Overseas travelling is mandatory
