Job Description

Position Overview

The Project Consultant is a member of the Project Support & Testing team in BCSIS and will report to the Manager in charge of the division He/She will be responsible for providing project support throughout a Software Test Life Cycle project or Application Support teams as well as Quality Testing of project delivery and enhancements prior to implementation or release to production system

The incumbent will be hired for either a contract or permanent role

Responsibilities of a QC tester

− Understanding the user requirements and functionalities associated with related applications under testing

− Gather, analyze and document user requirements

− Understanding the system through available documentation and existing applications

− Prepare / Update the Test case document for testing of the application from all aspects

− Prepare the test setup

− Deploy the build in the required setup

− Conduct the Testing including Smoke, Sanity, and Bug Bash / Execute the Test cases

− Validate and Update the Test Result document

− Attend the Regular client calls

− Log / File the defects in Defect tracking tool / Bug Report

− Verify defects

− Discuss doubts/queries with Development Team / Client

− Provide support to users during user acceptance testing

− Report test environments unavailability to IT, follow up and escalate for resolution

− Conduct internal trainings on various products

Job Requirement

−Bachelor degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent education and/or experience required

− Good understanding and experience in Software Test Life Cycle (STLC) is necessary

− Proficient in Microsoft Office and Testing and Defect Management tools

−Must have experience in requirements gathering and analysis

−Proficient in construction of test plan, test cases, test execution and test reporting

−Must have good understanding of test methodology

−Experience in test automation is an added advantage

−Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

−Must be comfortable in conducting presentations and trainings

−Must have keen interest in documentation and capable of generating standard project deliverables, support investigation reports

−Demonstrate good analytical and problem solving skills, as well as capable of making quick and sound decisions

−Good team player
