The Role

Manage and oversee a series of strategic projects from Proof of Concept from initiation to implementationCoordinate and implement enhancements as part of a growing team undertaking a broad data and analytics enterprise transformation in the organisationOversee the enterprise process, standards and methodology, project budget, schedule and qualityManage the overall project lifecycle, from gathering requirement, designing, building, testing, acceptance, training, documentation and implementationHandle contract management and project budget drawdowns across different projects under Business IntelligenceDeliver standard project management support development and documentation of project plans and timelinesset out progress towards goalscoordinate resources to facilitate execution of projects produce periodic reports to program service manager and relevant stakeholderFacilitate key workgroups, steering committees, and leaders as necessary to ensure that the new data warehouse platform meets the current and near-term goals of organisation analytics strategy

The Person

Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Engineering Management or any related disciplineCITPM, PMP or Agile certified with minimum 6 years of experience in managing IT projects in the areas of Data warehouse (EDW), Datamarts and Hortonworks Big Data PlatformFamiliar with the capabilities of relevant key technologies (data modelling, data integration, and business intelligent analytics) and can quickly assess the pros and cons of various design optionsStrong technical skills in managing all areas of EDW, ETL tools like Datastage/ Talend, and Business Intelligence Tools like Qlik/ TableauStrong project management skills and experienced in handling contracts and budgetsExcellent written skills in preparing approval papers and presentation slides for managementSolid organization, problem solving and multi-tasking skillsExperienced in both Waterfall and Agile project management methodology would be an added advantageAbility to work with senior management in a collaborative manner on projects and as a leadership designeeHandle issues that are significant, complex, multidisciplinary, sensitive, political, and confidentialAbility to independently resolve complex issues and to succinctly synthesize and articulate findings for various audiences
