The Project Manager is responsible for running a team of software and system engineers to maintain applications developed and deployed by the Ufinity software development team.
The Project Manager reports to the Technical Director and manages a team of software and system engineers. The team provides day-to-day operations of managed services and software maintenance, and Change Requests services for applications developed by Ufinity. The team also provides IT support for Ufinity staff. IT support includes day-to-day operations of various collaboration services in Ufinity e.g. WIKI etc.
The Project Manager manages and plans the team resources to deliver these services efficiently. In addition, the Project Manager is responsible for meeting customers to plan new Change Requests and to manage expectations and sentiments when there is an Incident.
Manage the Operations Team
Develop and implement policies, procedures and duty rosters for teams to ensure personnel back up for maintenance of services some of which are 24x7
Monitor team members' work levels and review work performance.
Meet with managers to discuss resource planning, Change Request requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
Manage software and system engineers to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems
Manage the team resources efficiently
Train team members about potential uses of existing technology
Provide individual training and support on request
Provide orientation to new team members of existing technology
Ensure software applications and services are running smoothly on a day-to-day basis
Be familiar with all hardware and software under the Operations Team
Be familiar with network operating systems under the Operations Team
Provide recommendations about accessing information and support
Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
Be an escalation point for troubleshooting of hardware, software and network operating system
Provide on-site support and customer management with engineers during disasters e.g. critical systems under Operation Team not functioning
Ensure that all projects support issues SLA are met
Monitor and maintain services for maximum efficiency
Be an escalation point for troubleshooting of all technology issues
Maintain a log and/or a list of required repairs, maintenance and Change Requests
Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources
Research current and potential resources and services that will improve the Operations Team efficiency
Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate
Ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal
Assist in pre-sales activities for maintenance project proposals
Work with respective leads in requirements gathering, estimates, impact, scheduling and deliverables for change requests.
The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
Computer hardware and software systems and programs
Computer networks, network administration and network installation
Computer viruses and security
E-mail and internet programs
An understanding of the Singapore IT economic, cultural and political environment
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
Must have at least 5 years of IT Operations experience
