Job Description


Functional Tasks

To perform General Accounting day-to-day transaction processing and ensuring delivery quality in terms of accuracy, completeness and timeliness on a daily basisBook accounting transactions based on Business Groups inputsMaintain general ledger master dataMaintain the setup and blocking of cost centers/account codesClearing of open items in accountsPerform analytical review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet, trend analysis, cost centre checks and transaction posting checksProvide month end close accounting process transaction supportExecute month end close steps in accordance with work instructions and month end close checklistCo-ordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities with Business Groups and other CSC F&A functional teams to ensure timely and accurate closure of accountsTo accurately process all General Accounting transactions within the given time frameAll transactions should be processed ie entered into SAP or rejected according to the established process and proceduresTo ensure the accuracy and the completeness of the transaction processedTo monitor and process the urgent request before specified deadlineTo be mentor for Analyst to refer on system General Accounting functionsTo coordinate and ensure month end activities related to General Accounting is executed on timely basisTo perform group consolidation deliverables in compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirementsAct as a back up for Team Lead on daily task and as when requiredPerform other duties as and when delegated ie review of analyst processing during stabilization period, back-up function, business process improvement initiatives and ad-hoc projectsTo attend to CSC communication channels eg email and assigned Helpdesk ticketsResolve Business Groups queries on timely basisTo coordinate and ensure that Analyst attends to CSC communication channels and assigned Helpdesk ticket promptlyIdentify queries and assign it to relevant analyst to respondTo guide analyst on query resolutionTo log Helpdesk ticket for all queries receivedTo coordinate and ensure Helpdesk tickets and queries are attended to on timely basis and properly resolved

Service Management and Continuous Improvement

Execute work in accordance with the service management framework by providing timely and accurate customer serviceReview backlog and cycle time reports to improve process flow timesMinimize number of workflow escalations by ensuring all transactions are processed within agreed service timelinesEnsure queries from Business Groups are attended to and resolved in a timely, responsible and proactive mannerIdentify, recommend and implement solutions in consultation with Function Lead and Team Lead for continuous improvement opportunitiesUpdate changes to process documentation when requiredAssist in the preparation of training materials when requiredSupport new and existing team members through proper knowledge transfer; sharing of resource, knowledge and experience and best practice thereby ensuring quality is maintained through any staff transitionAct as mentor to junior staff members to encourage good practice, team spirit and a quality-orientated approach


Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce or equivalentRequired language(s) Chinese, EnglishAt least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this positionApplicants must be willing to work in Bangsar SouthPreferably Senior Executives specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalentFull-Time position(s) available
