Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities



Inspects incoming materials and ensure that the materials are conformed to specifications by conducting visual, sensory and measurement tests Reject and return products and materials that fail to meet the requirements

Manages the work environment quality assurance systems and processes by monitoring and observing productions to ensure that factory operation complies with all relevant site standards, codes of practice and food legislation

Responsible to supervise the overall hygiene of staff, warehouse, machinery and production line

Approves and rejects finished products by carrying out the required tests and sampling to determine the quality and returning products for re-work if necessary

Leads and motivates the QA team, manage the allocation of workload and facilitate the development of their skills and performance

Evaluates risk and hazards prior to the introduction of a new process, product or raw material

Identifies issues and defects related to legislation, systems, processes or procedures and or product and suggest effective corrective or preventative action plans for them

Ensures that a comprehensive HACCP/FSSC22000/ISO22000 system is practiced and maintained, updating it in line with changes to process, equipment or product

Ensures that a product is correctly labelled and compliant with the relevant standards and legislation

Identifies technically related training requirements and organizing training and mentoring for current and new staff to ensure that the necessary safety rules and regulations are complied

Handle the customer complaint and non-conformance issues

To prepare Audit Report for Management Review

Update the SOP, Flow Chart, New Recipe, Product Specification from R&D Department

Any other duties and responsibilities are assigned from time to time

Monitor inhouse calibration for equipment and manage a schedule for external lab testing



Requirement/Qualification



Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Higher Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Engineering, Food Technologies/ Nutrition or equivalent

At least 5 years of working experience in food manufacturing industry and specialized in Quality Control/Assurance or equivalent

Must have 2 years experience in FSSC 22000 or ISO 22000

Knowledge in Food Safety Management System, ie HACCP,HALAL

Should have the ability to manage subordinates or have supervisory/management experience

Good time management and problem-solving skill

Strong proficiency with computer application

Good communication and interpersonal skill

Strong client facing and teamwork skill

Require language(s) English, Bahasa Malaysia

Possesses own transport

Able to work in 55 days per week
