Responsibilities
Compensation & Benefits
Oversees the strategies for compensation and benefits planning and administration policiesTo direct the administration salary surveys to ensure compensation packages remain competitiveEnsure that all plans comply with local laws and regulations as well as support a competitive and cost-effective postureAdvice and counsel management and employees on existing benefitsMonitor and manage the effectiveness of existing employee benefits plans and programs, guidelines and proceduresStaff cost and benefits – Review periodically with Finance and Operations to implement actions to control costWork on attraction and retention plansHR expense and budget – Understand, owns and lead all the expense line item for control and action plans
Payroll
Oversees and directs each of the day-to-day activities of payroll departmentIdentify process and control gaps, strengthen internal controls and drive process efficienciesDrive payroll process improvement initiatives and implement best practiceTo ensure timeliness and accuracy in all activities relating to payroll administration and processingRespond to inquiries, analyze payroll data and research discrepancies and run ad hoc reports as needed for auditsAble to understand finance data and analysis to provide solutionsReview and ensure accuracy of payroll calculations, off-cycle checks, approved timesheets, garnishments and other special payroll deductionsEnsure compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation for Payroll related processes, and providing recommendations as appropriatePrepare payroll reports in support of the organization as necessary
Qualifications
Degree in Finance or Accounting or related fieldMinimum 10 years working knowledge experienceExperience in payroll processing experience in a large complex environment with a solid working knowledge of Malaysia statutory and regulatory compliance requirements, employment legislation and HR Policies & ProceduresProgressive experience managing compensation teams and programsKnowledge of Malaysia tax and social security laws is essentialStrong interpersonal skills and experience dealing with key stakeholders is a definite assetAbility to organize and manage multiple priorities and effectively deal with tight deadlinesGood interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
