Job Description

Responsibilities:Compensation & BenefitsOversees the strategies for compensation and benefits planning and administration policies.To direct the administration salary surveys to ensure compensation packages remain competitive.Ensure that all plans comply with local laws and regulations as well as support a competitive and cost-effective posture.Advice and counsel management and employees on existing benefits.Monitor and manage the effectiveness of existing employee benefits plans and programs, guidelines and procedures.Staff cost and benefits – Review periodically with Finance and Operations to implement actions to control cost.Work on attraction and retention plans.HR expense and budget – Understand, owns and lead all the expense line item for control and action plans.PayrollOversees and directs each of the day-to-day activities of payroll department.Identify process and control gaps, strengthen internal controls and drive process efficiencies.Drive payroll process improvement initiatives and implement best practice.To ensure timeliness and accuracy in all activities relating to payroll administration and processing.Respond to inquiries, analyze payroll data and research discrepancies and run ad hoc reports as needed for audits.Able to understand finance data and analysis to provide solutions.Review and ensure accuracy of payroll calculations, off-cycle checks, approved timesheets, garnishments and other special payroll deductions.Ensure compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation for Payroll related processes, and providing recommendations as appropriate.Prepare payroll reports in support of the organization as necessary.QualificationsDegree in Finance or Accounting or related field.Minimum 10 years working knowledge experience.Experience in payroll processing experience in a large complex environment with a solid working knowledge of Malaysia statutory and regulatory compliance requirements, employment legislation and HR Policies & Procedures.Progressive experience managing compensation teams and programs.Knowledge of Malaysia tax and social security laws is essential.Strong interpersonal skills and experience dealing with key stakeholders is a definite asset.Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and effectively deal with tight deadlines.Good interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
