Job Description

To lead and motivate the Quality teams, to drive continuous improvement culture, proactively identify areas for development within teams and within organization to ensure customer satisfaction Lead and coordinate roll out of Quality initiatives and programs

Duties and Responsibilities include the following Other duties may be assigned
Ensures that all Quality staff are adequately trained and properly assigned to perform verifications of product and delivered qualityResponsible to analyze, plan, develop and implement and execute strategies towards achieving the company’s goal and objectivesResponsible to direct and drive the activities and productivity of a Quality department towards operational excellenceLead the Quality team in Continuous Improvement activities focusing on Lean/Agile principlesEstablish and maintain customer relationships, manage customer data, lead and ensure closure on customer issuesEffectively present to Customers and Business Executives on quality topics as neededEstablish and maintain supplier relationships, provide supplier quality data feedback, develop supplier capability and ensure closure on supplier issuesTo collaborate and partner with all HID site Quality Lead and Global Quality teams for benchmarking best manufacturing practices to be implemented at HID MalaysiaResponsible for outgoing product quality-working with operations teams to build quality in and prevent errors from escaping Use quality tools such as POKA YOKE, 7 QC tools, Statistical Process Control to reduce and prevent defects from escaping to customer premisesLead organization in critical thinking, in the understanding and application of quality tools, disciplines and methods to develop organizational effectiveness, to improve operational results, to continually improve team work across the organizationParticipate in cross-functional teams (on-site and cross-site) to drive quality initiativesCoaches, mentors, develop, and at times lead training on quality methods & processesProvide leadership in key process indicator (KPI) definition, structure, and the effective use of measurement data/results to drive alignment and results in multi-site organizationTo provide short term and long term strategic planning for Quality departmentEnsure all activities within their area of control is conducted in a manner that complies with environmental control procedures and does not create unnecessary environmental impactsMonitor and ensure compliance to environmental operational controls and compliance with applicable legal and other requirements
Minimum Diploma or Certificate in Electronic / Engineering and/or SPM or at least 10 years relevant working experience in the electronic manufacturing industry

Education and/or Experience
Auditing skills, problem solving skills, leadership skills and interpersonal skillKnowledge in ESD, SPC, FMEA, POKA YOKE , ISO 9001, ISO 14001, 6 Sigma and other Quality management systems
Language SkillsMalay, MandarinAbility to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writingAbility to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc

Computer Skills
Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etcFamiliar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc
