Job Description

We are currently looking for a System Engineer to join our dynamic team, this role is expected to deliver reactive and proactive activities according to our Service Level Agreement to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty The role is expected to provide on-site technical support, maintain a high-level customer satisfaction by ensuring clear system standards, clarifying customer needs and ensuring that they are met

System Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

Configuration, installation and support of products in customer environment (Linux and Windows)

First line of support to troubleshoot and resolve issues when contacted by customers by providing both on-site and remote support

Maintaining software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance to maintain system standards

Responding to queries from internal and external parties to provide technical assistance and support

Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensure availability of services to authorised users

Deployment and testing of software deployed to site

Develop, maintain and document the installation and configuration procedures

Prepare, update and deliver regular project status updates

Technical Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Information Technology IT/Telecommunication/Computer Science or equivalent

Knowledge of networking concepts like Firewall Configuration, Switch Configuration, LAN Troubleshooting, Network Tracing, WAN etc

Basic knowledge of database- MSSQL / MySQL will be an advantage

Basic knowledge in IP Telephony & VoIP System (TCP, UDP, RTP etc) will be an advantage

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012 and above

Basic knowledge of Windows Server Features such as AD configuration, DNS configuration etc

Basic knowledge of SAN/NAS Storage configuration

Key Requirements

Team player with good interpersonal skills

Excellent technical, analytical skills and high level of aptitude

Able to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly manner, both written and verbal

Independent, proactive, resourceful and able to work with minimum supervision

Able to commit to after office hours standby duties if required

Previous IT Support experience will be a huge advantage

Able to start work immediately or within short notice
